  1. Happy to provide the info and costs etc. My whatsapp is still my US number: +12039128797. Send me a message and I will forward the info
  2. Thank you gents! Looking forward to continuing to learn and improve my off road skills!
  3. The adventure is basically the previous VXR (I believe that is what it was called) luxury model model year '22 with some extra trim, black wheels, spoilers etc. I picked it because of the the luxury items like the split climate control, sunroofs, bluetooth apple carplay, ventilated leather seats etc. - I wanted the luxury during the week and for longer road trips ...
  4. Same here re- the Prado. Overall comfort (I have the Adventure model with all the options) is extremely high. Although calling it adventure and installing spoilers to make it a mall crawler doesn’t really make sense. I only once ever needed the Center diff lock. Normally 4H is enough, and the way power is distributed is more than adequate for rides. I removed the spoilers (hence the Dalmatian look) and installed a 10mm bash plate. But still split the front bumper taking a small dip a bit too fast. Overall could not be happier with my Prado. Luxury during the week and off road fun on the weekend. If you want to join me on one of the desert rides to see how it handles you are more than welcome.
  5. Thanks again @Fredericand @Kailas for a great ride and excellent guidance. Very interesting to drive in the desert during the rain!
  6. Thanks all for a lovely morning drive. I had a great time. Always nice to meet other new desert driving enthusiasts …
  7. Some of the videos we took:https://share.icloud.com/photos/0kPkovFO0aQD7-xNImIdZ7rvQ not sure if it works. First time I try to link to video on Carnity - should be 11 videos
  8. Thank you for a great day @Chaitanya D and the trust to have me in 2nd spot. I think all of us newbies learned a lot and really experienced how the desert fights back! It was a simply stunning setting - I think we must have taken 100 pictures if not more. @Gaurav and @Rizwanm2 thank you for all the guidance and help and the tow! I am looking forward to my next visit to Liwa, yellow truck or not!
  9. Hello @Chaitanya D My plans changed so am able to join your ride tomorrow. Am looking forward to it! I understand (and have paid the fuel bills) my Prado has a 150-litre fuel capacity, comprising two tanks (an 87-litre main and a 63-litre auxiliary). That should be sufficient right? Cheers, Patrick
  10. Thanks again @Foxtrot Oscarand @JeepieFor a great ride. For a relative newcomer to dubai it is amazing to see how different the dune ‘scapes’ are from one area to another. And what a wonderful sunset spot!
  11. Thanks again @Gauravfor organising a second drive in the same day for us! Million credits for that and we all owe you one! Also big thanks to @Melenany, I think you made your 10,000 steps in the desert today getting everybody unstuck!
  12. Wonderful shot! My wife has not accompanied me yet on these rides and this photo really shows what you do in this type of terrain. Thanks for posting these @jeetu sharma
  13. I had a great morning @Frederic- thanks a million for setting up this convoy ride!
