Agreed @JeromeFJ and thanks again for one of the most enjoyable drives to date. That being said, I think it is best not to promote the AD drives too much to keep me the convoys at a smaller scale for future drives From my side, it’s an automatic opt-in moving forward!
Also, thanks for being a Pajero fan
Have a good one!
Go team Paj………..although it cost me a front drive shaft 😂 todays swap job

Thanks again @GauravSoni for a great drive. @Nathan Lwhat oud scanner did you use again? I forgot to write it down. Thx
I had the veepeak obd 11 ble( first photo) and use the car scanner pro app to read and clear codes.
there is a cheaper version, (second photo) but it doesn’t read gearbox temp I don’t think.
you can get cheaper from dragon mart/Chinese copy’s but I wouldn’t trust them. I have heard of copy’s affecting the traction control on some pajeros.

Very very common on the Pajeros. The strap you've put it is actually quite a good solution. The battery is being held with 2 threaded rods. On my pajero i was able to drill a small new hole just underneath where the original hole cracked, and insert the threaded rod in the new hole.
Thanks, back home there is plenty of aftermarket options but nothing here that I can find, just worried about the strap disintegrating in the heat/oil of the engine bay.

The composite battery tray in my Pajero has snapped one of the hold down lugs,
does anyone know if there is a metal replacement available here in the uae,
back In Australia there are countless options for replacement but I can’t find anything here. Don’t want to put a factory one back in as it will probably suffer the same fate.
currently got it strapped it down.
thank you

Hi @Nathan L hope nothing serious and she is going to get well soon! My best wishes…. Yes you can opt out of drive and add yourself as waitlist.. alternatively you can remain in the drive and update your rsvp Friday afternoon..
Thanks, looks like spot has been taken pretty quick, I have added myself on the wait list.
thank you -
Sorry, was looking forward to my first fewbie drive but wife’s been admitted to hospital for a few days so have to drop out. Is it possible to remain on the wait list?

Pajero's inherently are delicate darling in my view but def capable in the right hands.
If you thrash you pay, simple. Not as forgiving as Toyota and Nissan.
Definitely, I have had many landcruisers before this and they stood up to abuse a lot better. This one is good but the previous owner abused it and now I am paying for it 😫. But will get there.
Today was swaybar links replacement and found he did not put the lock nuts on the drive axles so the shafts where loose in the hubs 😳

@Nathan L well done
You will find a lot of pajero lovers here . Some have a love hate relationship😜
It is the driver which matters most and not the car .
Enjoy your drives 👍
Thank you, yes definitely a love hate at the moment 🤣, fells like I am replacing something every day. Going to be a new car soon 😅

Hi all, Nathan here.
new to carnity and to the dunes, have done a few drives now with the club as a newbie and having a blast.
have a bit of experience off road but mostly mud/rock and winch work, most of my sand experience has been on the sand island in Australia. Very different to our desert here.
I have picked up a old abused SWB Pajero that I am slowly fixing up, hopefully it will become a capable and reliable drive.
thanks for having me in the club, been great so far and looking forward to picking up new skills with you all on the dunes.
cheers, Nathan
