  1. @GauravSoni what a great drive! I really enjoyed the fast paced corners and climbs this time my gearing came along much better which also equaled to great pace. myself and my small support crew had some good fun with the ridge riding. @Vaibhav I hope you can get your jeep sorted out soon I know Mopar can be really frustrating sometimes; I hope to see you soon. @DP1011 another great drive to tick off mate! I will see you soon @Looper always a good drive when you can show us all your looping skills! Did very well in SL as expected @Mario Cornejo you were amazing as well! Always awesome seeing your car power through the dunes it’s like having first class tickets to a dakar rally session Always great to see familiar faces @Chris Wing @Gertjan @Jaro Tuzinsky @Waqas Parvez @ASAD. @Zed and everyone else I may have missed out
  2. @GauravSoni I’m confirmed for this weekend car has been double checked all is good
  3. Congrats @Rajesh NG hope to see you soon in some drives
  4. Congrats @Bravoecho totally deserved mate enjoy the faster pasted drives
  5. It was a great drive @GauravSoni for me it was a drive to practice support skills and go back to the basics. I had for so long not needed to worry about gearing or different transfer case driving options which led to myself losing a lot of momentum when needed to climb this is mostly due to my onboard computer being reset and the jeep acting completely different. as @Krishna R mentioned gearing was my main issue. After switching to auto-manual or tiptronic which works much like a sequential gearbox whilst also changing my transfer case to 4-part-time (4 wheels moving all the time unlike 4-auto) I was managing my jeeps weight through the tight corners with enough fishtail to align myself for the next crossover. This is when @Gerrit Bus unfortunately toppled his unit of a car which I’m still so glad I didn’t have to use the first-aid kit and he got out perfectly fine just with a little more adrenaline and a lighter jeep to help him get to rescue. After hoping the worst didn’t come true his car made a full recovery and managed to escape the desert luckily I caught up to him before my exit and all looked good from behind! @Mario Cornejo was amazing in the dunes until unfortunately got a blow-out at the exit. After putting some support lessons to reality the drive that started for myself as a below performance ended up being one I learned from and became a better off-roader. @Chris Wing always great seeing you on a drive and supporting whenever you could @Krishna R you did great for your first intermediate drive man! You handle that X-terra like a beast someday we will make the ultimate support team 🤘 @GauravSoni you handled all the situations that went wrong like a pro the recovery of the jeep was smooth and perfect team coordination was key I’ll look forward to your next drive together this time I’ll bring the A-game! @Mohamad Anwer great to see a familiar face always happy to see your positive attitude during every drive I’ll see you in the next one @Santoso Marjuki Great driving man! I hope to see you in the next one
  6. Congrats @Bjoern! Well deserved looking forward to a drive together
  7. @Frederic left some great points @CasperPL As most points have been met I’m not going to regurgitate everything that has been said. my advice is to continue to check dubizzle and Facebook marketplace for the car your going to settle with. But most of all the most important thing you’ve got to do when looking at used cars is to check the VIN number every car has one it’ll essentially tell you any accidents the car has been in and where. This is especially the case when buying a car from America or even Sharjah. You’d be surprised how good some of these cars look but underneath are barely holding together 😂
  8. Thanks @Frederic for the advice! I really don't want to regear my jeep, but extra sidewall might be something to consider maybe I should go down a Rim size but for now my tires are perfectly fine 😃
  9. Hi @Frederic very interesting topic just thought I would drop my personal point of view on tire size; So I run stock Sahara wheels and tires. I believe the tire size is 275/55R20 which is 31inch tyre (please correct if wrong) they are also AT tires. Since starting at Carnity I've only run these tires and I have had barely any issues in the sand, I do notice that bigger tyres have much more surface area when deflated but apart from that I don't see much of a difference atleast performance wise (once these tires wear out I am looking at potentially moving up a size) continuing this I have also taken these tires up steep mountains in Ras Al-Khaimah for camping trips, still to my surprise these stock tires (with the added lift) perform exceptionally well. I'm very interested to hear from others that have experienced both type of tires in the sand (as I'm looking into maybe going bigger)
  10. Congrats @Krishna R! I’ll see you soon mate! Looking forward to seeing the unleashed X-terra!
  11. @Patrick van der Loo totally deserved! I’ll see you this weekend
  12. @Looper what a fantastic drive! I’m really glad I didn’t miss out on this one! Thanks for the opportunity to take on CF for the first time! It was a valued experience for me even with some of my minor refusals today Like most drives I like to take as much away from these experiences to help benefit myself and others in being as safe as possible in the desert. This time around I got the opportunity and more-so experience on fixing pop-outs which is always something that should be practiced as often as possible @Jessica Lambert I’m sorry you had to be exited early still though you helped me get the experience I needed to understand the technique of fixing these pop-outs; I hope to see you in the next one! @DP1011 another great drive to tick off! As usual you performed amazing in the back! I hope to join you soon in support crew @Patrick van der Loo it was great seeing you again I hope to see you soon in some higher level drives @Bjoern always great to see a familiar face! You always have great control of your jeep. Hope to see you soon! @Gurcharan Mehta & @Gary F great drive! Performed amazing
  13. Looking forward to it @Looper and @Davie Chase looks like it’s going to be a great drive
  14. Always a pleasure to join your drives doc @M.Seidam from my first Fewbie “infinite loops” to my current position at intermediate seeing the entire convoy in the rear view mirror was a treat! The sun glamorously shined the sands which gave a unique texture and feeling towards speed & momentum. Thank you doc for another opportunity up in 2nd lead I hope I performed to expectations it’s always great to share a hobby with new & old friends. @Pavel Pashkovskiy Thank you for the great coffee it was amazing seeing you and @Marketa Dobesova keep up with the tracks with good pace & momentum @Amr Aydin I believe it’s the first time we have met but nevertheless it was great seeing you in the back flawlessly keeping the convoy together whilst moving cautiously @Anoop Nair @Gerrit Bus @Sunil Mathew great meeting you guys old&new faces @DP1011 always happy to see you on my drives as you have always been present since my first days at Carnity and I hope to many more have a great weekend everyone If I missed anyone out I apologize, still though everyone drove amazingly National Geographic would be proud!
  15. Hi @Looper I’ve added myself to your drive- didn’t realize you’re looking for a 20 car convoy! Looking forward to Sunday and helping you out any way I can 🤘
  16. @M.Seidam looking forward for tomorrows drive hopefully plenty of shovel action up front 😂
  17. Pretty sure I heard they were going make three parts to finale of this movie. nothing like having Vin Diesel's cars run on the hopes and dreams of Family 😄 apart from that I think my favorite movie in the series has got to be either Tokyo drift or 2 Fast 2 Furious perfect depiction of the gearbox in these cars
  18. Hey @Marketa Dobesova I was on last weeks drive with @M.Seidam if i interpreted docs description correctly the drive should either end somewhere in Nahil this is approx coordinates of last weeks drive beginning position (as this drive is doing that route but backwards) do still try and reach doc in case I’m wrong 24.54535, 55.58100 please see this pic attached
  19. Congrats @Felix Obst enjoy IM looking forward to some drives together
  20. @Davie Chase Congratulations on your promotion! will look forward to more drives together
  21. @M.Seidam thanks for setting up this drive! As per usual they are always enjoyable at a great pace. Which brings me to my next point congrats @Davie Chase great leading today! Without your path finding skills the convoy wouldn’t have performed as well as they did! Massive distance covered with enjoyable speed Im sure everyone in FB enjoyed that aspect as well @Looper always great to see you out on the trail looking forward to the next one
  22. Congrats @Looper big achievement! I’ll see you soon
  23. Congratulations @Pavel Pashkovskiy enjoy the faster paced rank
  24. @Varun Mehndiratta The drive was incredible with plenty of vegetation and track finding. Our first obstacle was finding an entrance to start our adventure much like the beginning of Jurassic park, we saw wildlife such as camels... I mean raptors, and found our way through vegetation galore. My take of the drive I reckon it's perfect for FB or FB+ depending on the track due to softer sand. the drive in all was a nice for a scenic drive with a splash of excitement with some awesome dune heights. I recommend
