    Good Morning Everyone. Hope you are pumped to enjoy an excursion through the dark of Al Adlah this evening. The moon will rise around 21:50, so by the time we stop for coffee we should have a nice big fat moon hanging low on the horizon for our viewing pleasure. I will annouce convoy around 17:00, and we will be using channel 8 today.     We got off to an early start with everyone there, ready and good to go before the official start time — thank you. Within about five minutes, I had already managed to plant the nose of the car into a bush and needed @Sebastian Nohse on the winch to get moving again. From there, we found some excellent terrain with plenty of long sidies and ridge lines. I then got stuck again, this time needing a proper team effort with @Chema @Krinesh and Sebastian digging to get the car free. We then picked up the pace and took the faster route toward the technical zone. One more stuck followed which probably could have been solved with a bit more shovelling, but with the heat and wind building, Sebastian made short work of it with another quick winch pull. Once we reached the technical section, the whole drive changed character. The faster flowing lines gave way to slow, precise and controlled movements, with everyone adapting well to the more demanding terrain. As we entered the final big bowl, my passengers decided they had experienced quite enough dune bashing for one morning and introduced a little car sickness into the mix. After a quick cleanup, we called it and headed for the exit. We made it out right on time at 09:30. Thanks everyone for a fun morning, solid teamwork and some really good driving.

    🌙 Coffee Club: Al Adlah After Dark We’re starting from the easternmost edge of Al Adlah, heading straight into a narrow corridor packed with some fantastic star-shaped dune formations. The opening section will keep things tight and technical as we thread our way through the stars. As the terrain opens up, the smaller formations give way to large, long-range dunes — ideal territory for practising smooth criss-crossing, controlled transitions and maintaining flow across the ridges. Expect a drive that rewards good positioning, momentum and reading the terrain ahead. The aim isn’t to rush — it’s to find that sweet spot where the convoy flows effortlessly across the dunes. ☕ The final 20 minutes are reserved for something equally important: iced coffee lattes, camp chairs and some good conversation under the desert sky. Camp chair is mandatory.     yeah agreed about doing it in phases @Frederic .. car already has high-beam on the front for decent lighting, so A Pillar lights would be the priority for me as well to spread out the beam.

    auxbeam V-ULTRA series. get a mid sized pod for a pilalrs, 4 inch or so. Aim 40 degrees away from front on, no bonnet glare and wide beam of light. get a 5 or 6 inch spotlight for front, might require a shop to fab a bracket. for rear i would get a small 2 inch or so, its not driving light so a small one will be plenty. auxbeam gangpanel 6 switch controller which mounts in cabin. comes with quality vinyal stickers for switch labels etc and is one of the the better switch box systems available in my opinion (think i managed to convert @ChrisW to these as well). This will come in around budget. auxbeam makes some damn excellent stuff. price performance wise they are pretty amazing IMHO. for colour, i prefer amber, others prefer white. its really up to you. auxbeam do have the option of having amber coloured protection covers, so if you choose white you can switch to amber easily later.

    Drive Summary Report A 100% increase in attendance from last week, with double the number of cars joining us for another night of exploration. We got moving just after 20:00, heading southwest into the unknown and quickly finding ourselves in soft, warm and surprisingly tricky sand. I set the tone early by dropping into a pocket and needing a winch recovery to get free. Not long afterwards, I was stuck again, this time with Giacomo on winch duty and getting things moving once more. We stopped briefly for a quick water break, only to discover that Piotr’s sons remote control car battery had decided it was done for the evening. It was just a quick break, then back into the sand, where, SURPRISE, I somehow managed to get stuck yet again, with Asif and Giacomo coming to the rescue. Despite the recoveries, everyone drove extremely well in what were very soft, warm and demanding sand conditions. The convoy kept moving, people worked well together, and the difficult terrain was handled calmly throughout. We finished with a well-earned coffee stop, before tackling one final challenge: finding our way through the fence labyrinth and back out to civilisation. Exit was made on time, wrapping up another enjoyable evening of exploration, teamwork and just enough chaos to keep things interesting.     Happy Wednesday Everyone! Hope you are still ready for a nice mid-week drive. I'll bring a thermos of ice cold korean coffee-latte, you bring a chair and the conversation for the last 20 minutes or so sit and chill after we have discovered the unknown.
