Coffee Club: Al Fayah South A moonless night, a fresh stretch of Al Fayah South, and absolutely no guarantee that the route ahead will make any sense. We’ll be heading into darker, less predictable terrain where vegetation, wildlife and dead ends are all part of the experience. Expect a bit of scouting, a bit of rerouting, and probably a few moments where the only sensible plan is to see what happens next. The lack of moonlight should make this one feel properly dark, but as the saying goes: You can’t be scared of what you can’t see. We’ll keep the pace relaxed, enjoy the exploration, and finish with the most important part of any Coffee Club drive: iced coffee lattes, camp chairs and some good conversation under the desert sky. Camp chair is mandatory. No chair, no latte. 😎 And because it’s a school night… You’ll be home before midnight — assuming you live in Abu Dhabi. 🌙 MUST READ AND COMPLY Environmental Policy Offroad Flag Guideline Two Way Radio Guideline Off road Driving Etiquette's Emergency details for all off-roaders Off Road Driving - Roles & Responsibilities DRIVE DETAILS Level: Fewbie Plus and above Meeting time: 20:00 (SHARP - Without any exceptions) Meeting Point: https://goo.gl/maps/tb3SsK7izt9KKJnV9?g_st=aw Co-ords: 24.2551944, 55.0405556 Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance. We rolled out at 06:30 with a strong convoy of 10 very capable drivers and a very simple briefing: "Find huge lines. Ride them nonstop for 2 hours 30 minutes." And that’s exactly what we did. We spent the morning balancing along ridges, crossing back and forth between dune lines, and carrying plenty of speed through the larger terrain. As the dunes opened up, we leaned into the bigger lines and pulled some serious G’s across the bowls and slopes. Good pace, strong driving, and exactly the kind of flow we came for. 😎 Mission complete. @ChrisW @Diego @Zsolt @_Herman_ @Ahmed Farouk @Abdullah A. @Beide Worku @Looper @Krinesh

Appreciate you guys waking up super super early to come out, but as Surfer and Bank Robber Bohdi says in the classic surf movie Point Break: "if you want the ultimate,... you have to be willing to pay the ultimate price" and sometimes that price is waking up at 0400 🤣🤣 I'll try not to get crested too often

We kicked off beside the truck road with a quick briefing on the plan for the night. @Asif Hussain, @ChrisW and @Giacomo added a few extra pointers on how to enjoy — and stay safe on — a Fewbie-level night drive. The most important takeaway: “If you see something scary, just turn off your lights.” 😂 With that valuable safety advice firmly understood, we headed into the technical zone for a few loops to warm everyone up and get comfortable driving in the dark. From there we moved into some larger terrain. We had a couple of refusals along the way, but unfortunately for @Sebastian Nohse, Giacomo and Chris, nobody managed to get stuck badly enough for them to break out their winches. As the drive progressed, I felt we found a really nice flowing Fewbie pace for nighttime. Rather than attacking the bigger climbs, we worked our way gradually higher — taking small steps, reading the dunes and picking a route through without needing any huge commitments. It made for a smooth and enjoyable drive, with plenty of time on the ridges and a good rhythm through the convoy. After 150 minutes of driving, it was time for the Coffee Club part of the evening. We pulled up, got the chairs out and sat around the light, enjoying the sight of a deep red moon hanging low over the desert. And Sebastian raised the Coffee Club standards considerably by producing actual espresso in the middle of the desert. ☕ A definite treat and a pretty perfect way to finish the night. @Lukas Wii I hope you enjoyed your first night drive, and we see you in some more. @Piotr. nice work convincing him to join and experience the dark side of desert driving. Good driving, good flow, good coffee and good company. 🌙☕🏜️

Good Morning Everyone. Hope you are pumped to enjoy an excursion through the dark of Al Adlah this evening. The moon will rise around 21:50, so by the time we stop for coffee we should have a nice big fat moon hanging low on the horizon for our viewing pleasure. I will annouce convoy around 17:00, and we will be using channel 8 today. See you at the meeting spot at 20:00. @Asif Hussain @ChrisW @Giacomo @Lukas Wii @Piotr. @Sebastian Nohse DONT FORGET YOUR DESERT CAMP CHAIR!

We got off to an early start with everyone there, ready and good to go before the official start time — thank you. Within about five minutes, I had already managed to plant the nose of the car into a bush and needed @Sebastian Nohse on the winch to get moving again. From there, we found some excellent terrain with plenty of long sidies and ridge lines. I then got stuck again, this time needing a proper team effort with @Chema @Krinesh and Sebastian digging to get the car free. We then picked up the pace and took the faster route toward the technical zone. One more stuck followed which probably could have been solved with a bit more shovelling, but with the heat and wind building, Sebastian made short work of it with another quick winch pull. Once we reached the technical section, the whole drive changed character. The faster flowing lines gave way to slow, precise and controlled movements, with everyone adapting well to the more demanding terrain. As we entered the final big bowl, my passengers decided they had experienced quite enough dune bashing for one morning and introduced a little car sickness into the mix. After a quick cleanup, we called it and headed for the exit. We made it out right on time at 09:30. Thanks everyone for a fun morning, solid teamwork and some really good driving.

DRIVE DETAILS Early start, early finish, and 2.5 hours of pure Khatim fun. No waypoint chasing, no distance target and no pressure to reach anywhere. We’ll simply follow the best terrain we can find and spend the morning hunting out sidies, long ridges and flowing lines. The focus is simple: keep moving, keep it smooth, and make the most of the cooler morning sand before the heat builds. 100% FULL SEND.
