  2. @Chris Redmondyou recently changed to Pajero. Any feedback to share on the BAIC?
  3. Hello, new here with a BJ40C mounted with 285/70/17. Will gladly like to exchange on the car's behaviour with other owners. About any specificf Baic club, I learned that the dealership organises runs for its 4x4 owners... the question is when... and how to get on a list. I have mentionned to them that I wanted to be informed. If any news, I will post here. Cheers, Stephan

Good trails, great team and superb leads... , @Frederic @Sam Selim @JC_E @Thomas54675 @khurramm wish to see more of such "technical and slow" in winter

Thank you @ChrisW, your drive makes it look so effortless, while we are behind you flailing away between the feelings of exhilaration and pure frenzy. @Infaz helped me understand the importance of manually down-shifting to maintain RPM's, something I will need to practise, switching over to manual selections from the start (which I will focus on the next drive). Such faster paced, flowing, and larger dunes will require me to become a more conscientious driver. FB+ will definately challenge my abilities (which I am looking forward to), as I cannot just power through, but need to develop the necessary skill - to make it look as beautiful as you guys.
  8. Congratulations @Enrico - Mountain.. see you soon in the sand.
  9. @Andrew John Melvill @_luke_ @J-P L @khurrammThanks a lot. Definitely looking forward to seeing you guys in the sand!!

  11. @saumik1989 well done looking forward to seeing you on your first Fewbie + drive

An excellent self-debrief @Enrico - Mountain - there’s a lot here that just comes from building a bit of pattern recognition/muscle memory. The quick decision of when it’s time to push/maintain/slow, and recognising the conditions (sand, distance to car or obstacle, etc) such that you can anticipate, is largely now a question of repetition and practice. Looking forward to joining you on more drives in the future.

Well i need to mention this was involving a bit of luck: As my other half drove several years with the same Pajero we started to understand what they can do, so when i see a stuck Pajero i turn into a stubborn man they wants to explore every option to get it out by itself. The 3.8 model comes with the rear difflock and once engaged it can do wonders.

SUMMARY This one is all about the big stuff. We’ll start at Al Samar at sunrise and head straight for Old Lady Dune, where we’ll spend some time working the climbs, ridges and crests before moving north toward Nagrah for another round of bigger climbs and higher lines. From there, we’ll turn west toward Three Trees in Al Saad and take on the massive sidie wall — one of those places that is always worth the detour. After that, we’ll swing back north-east toward Nahel, with one simple objective: find as many big dunes as possible and climb them. Expect plenty of elevation, long ridgelines, big bowls, steep faces and opportunities to keep the convoy moving from one playground to the next. We’ll finish at the Double Bowl with a few final power laps before exiting at Nahel. Old Lady. Nagrah. Three Trees. Nahel. Double Bowl. A proper tour of some of the biggest terrain in the area.. Khatim to Fayah – Fewbie Night Drive We’ll kick off from Khatim and make our way toward Fayah, using the night drive to play with a few techniques that feel completely different once the sun goes down. The plan is to spend some time experimenting with night-time sidies, getting comfortable reading the dune face under lights, and introducing some basic ridge and crest riding along the way. Nothing too wild — the focus is on building confidence, keeping good flow, and getting a feel for how familiar terrain changes in the dark. Somewhere along the route, we’ll make the mandatory coffee stop before heading toward the Khatim Anomaly for a few higher-G sidies. If you know, you know. Expect a relaxed Fewbie-level drive with plenty of movement, a bit of learning, some good lines, and hopefully a very good cup of coffee somewhere in the middle of it all. You’ll be home before midnight — assuming you live in Abu Dhabi. 🌙 MUST READ AND COMPLY Environmental Policy Offroad Flag Guideline Two Way Radio Guideline Off road Driving Etiquette's Emergency details for all off-roaders Off Road Driving - Roles & Responsibilities DRIVE DETAILS Level: Fewbie and above Meeting time: 20:00 (SHARP - Without any exceptions) Meeting Point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/7Sp6Y27ZkZv6xqWs8 Meeting Coordinates: 24.2324739, 54.9014128 Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.
