Action Plan: Following a previous exploration drive in the area, we'll drive to connect two of Abu Dhabi's favourite off-roading playgrounds. We'll start at Faya, moving east toward the sun, then we'll turn south and further west to Khatim. We'll find clean, long-range dunes at the beginning and at the end of the drive, while crossing more bushy areas in between. We'll aim for speed and precision driving, which will require a bit of concentration and endurance. The planned itinerary crosses truly beautiful areas, where driving turns into meditation and admiration for the beauty of the desert.
Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front andback tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.
What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, face mask, rubber gloves, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
