Afternoon Fewbie Desert Drive - Mihayyer, Chalk Domes, Ghaf Bowl, Nahil Lake - Abu Dhabi - 5 Sep 2026

Action Plan:  A long-range drive, from the border village of Mihayyer, as close as one can get to the Omani border, through a wild, almost not driven area, across E95 into the larger Sweihan/Nahil area, through the unique Chalk Domes, the fabulous Ghaf Bowl, and finally to the dream-like Nahil Lake. An uncommon route, with the possibility of enjoying the local fauna, a wild environment, and the golden hour on equally golden sand. Not an abundance of tall dunes, but a variety of terrains with the need for a mix of driving skills.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, face masks, rubber gloves, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

Approximate finish time: 06:30 PM (at sunset)

P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive.

• Tire deflator & Tire pressure gauge
• Compressor (MANDATORY)
• Walkie-talkie radio (MANDATORY)
• Off-road flag (MANDATORY)
• Shovel, Tow Rope & 2 Shackles
• First-aid kit
• Fire extinguisher.
