iroc Posted July 19, 2011 Report Share Posted July 19, 2011 If you are already having a noise then the CV joint has run dry and is damaged. Most likely you would be having vibration under acceleration. So you are better off changing the drive shaft rather than fixing the boot. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
joe Posted July 19, 2011 Report Share Posted July 19, 2011 I second to Iroc, boot should be completely sealed and loaded with grease so that joint wont run dry. If once boot tear and car run for a while or if you are in doubt then its better to change to save the hassle and labor cost for second time.
