Basim K
Hello Mates, my Y61 is very slow in climbing dunes, after few meters it will loose momentum and stops. Very setting are right(4H, triptonic gear, and 15-12psi tyre pressure). could someone please give me an insight on how to tackle the situation?

Is the maintenance up to date, and has the air filter been cleaned/replaced ? The Y61 is not the fastest 4x4 in stock form but it has good torque and climbing most dunes shouldn’t be an issue. I saw a definite improvement with adding a cold air intake filter (Afe Momentum GT) but even in full stock condition it was going everywhere. 1 1 "Go as far as you can see; once you get there, you'll be able to see further." With limited info at hand, you can try the following after following Fredy's advise, if car is in good condition, then you need to work on your skills. Follow correct lines on dunes if you are following more powerful off-road toys. Read the sand and angle of attack to be on the hard side of the dunes and not through slip face. Hard side has wind signature lines vs slip face is plain side with no lines. Deflate to 10 PSI, if you are with AT tires. 12 PSI is fine with HT tires. Restrict the car on 1st gear on steep climbs till 6k rpm redline, in case you are upshifting to 2nd at 4k rpm. Hope you aren't running oversized wheels and extra heavy tires, which severely restrict climbing capabilities. 3 1 Let's root for each other & watch each other grow.
