Jeh
Admit it once in a while all of us come across this phrase after buying their cars, "I didnt know, my car can do that!" There are many features which pop up even after memorizing the whole freaking manual. And there are some features which with a few tweaks give a OMG effect. So share with us all your discoveries/tricks/tips and hidden treasures of your mean machines! Here are few to begin with: FOCUS: "Climate Control, 'I am hot'" the Air Conditioner goes on and 'I am cold' the heat goes on. "Navigation, 'I am hungry'" It lists the restaurants in your current area on the map.
ethan
I get this strange sound caused by the belt under the hood of my fortuner, and it goes off after the car runs a half kilometer. Is there a way to get it fixed without having to take it to the service center.
Jeh
I read somewhere about the same problem and they said: "You guys might be referring to the solenoid that controls the variable vanes on the turbo. It is quite common for the D4D's to do this. To test, switch the ignition on (before starting the vehicle) open the bonnet and look just next to the turbo a tubular plastic black "thingy". If you touch it you can feel the solenoid opening and closing. See if it helps.
aboo Ibraheem
GOOD ONE JEH! LET ME JOIN SHARING "I DIDN'T KNOW MY CAR CAN DO THAT" DISCOVERIES! I DISCOVERED THAT WHEN I PRESSED CONTINUOUSLY "UNLOCK" BUTTON ON THE CAR REMOTE, IT OPENS ALL THE WINDOWS, AND "LOCK" CLOSES ALL OF THEM. KIND OF USEFUL IF YOU WANNA AIR THE CAR BEFORE GETTING IN )
