Thank you all for signing up! As mentioned earlier this week, this will be a gentle scenic drive through the beautiful dunes Sharjah, RAK, and UAQ have on offer. A perfect drive to bring your camera and the family as well if they are keen.

Some pointers as preparation for tomorrow:

1. Try to arrive by 06.45AM. This way you will have time to deflate, set up your flag, and poor out a coffee or light a cigarette prior to the briefing  

2. Bring your Newbie gears: shovel, walkie talkie, offroad flag, compressor, and deflator/pressure gauge.

As the sand was quite compact it allowed us to venture a bit deeper into the dunes today, which meant a bit more technical compared with the usual scenic drives. But with such a strong convoy and support, there was no stopping us.

@Saniyah hats off for your first offroad drive, hardly one week after obtaining your driver's license. This makes you the youngest Carnity member! I am sure dad is extremely proud of what you accomplished today!

Thanks to the smooth second lead @_Herman_, the anchor in the middle @J-P L, and @Danie looking after the back of the convoy, we were in good hands and it was a blessing to have your help.

We covered a very respectable 40km today.

Thanks for a really nice drive, @Frederic!  As second I got to watch a green Trooper going through a beautiful scenery, whilst looking in the mirror to see @Saniyah’s first achievements, was an entertaining drive and a good one to try a another (bashplate-free) car, although I’m pretty convinced I’ll stick to the FJ for the quicker drives.  

Nice encounter with camels along the way.  Good way to spend the Sunday morning!
