car died on me

i am the owner of a 2005 element and it has been a great car since. except a few wear and tear i have hand no problems.BUTT

today when i started my car in the morning i did not start. only after 8 to 9 selfs it started i then checked the battery which was fine as i had taken to the garage to check with the gauge.

what else could be the issue

check spark plugs, wires, spark, fuses, relay and fuel pump (in end)
