car is loosing out on power

when the car started loosing power i got it checked with the mechanic who said the the plugs dont have spark in them.

and also told me to change the timing belt sensor needs to be replaced .

did he diagnose it correctly?

Its very vague to comment like this. Usual suspect in power loss is spark plug but timing belt sensor im not sure. Better seek a second opinion and if they both sing a same song then it must be.
