why the ESP lump is light on ?

i just bought A4 2004 and some time i find the ESP lump is on while am driving ,i don't konw what i have to check ?

ESP stands for Electronic Stability Program, that automatically trigger when your car slips the road to add some traction. Its a safety feature tells you that your car was slipping and ESP saved you rather than wrapping you around a tree.

It must be usually happening when you spin donuts, or drift the car.
