Why is my Hyundai getting check engine light?

the check engine light has been on for a few weeks before start issue and when applying acceleration the car is not moving so i got it scanned and the test showed O2 sensor or catylac converter issue. what is causing this

change the Catylac converter and the O2 sensor

Also check of the Fuel pump is working.
