I have a question about Shift Solenoid in my BMW 320.

The emergency mode light came on in my 320 BMW 2005 and was told it is shift solenoid.

How serious is that and is it very critical to fix it.

It is quiet serious to get it fix mate, as shift solenoid is responsible for shifting gears. If it fails completely you wont be able to drive.

Better get it check if its some loose cable throwing this error or actually solenoid gone bad. Its quite expensive part. Good luck sir.
