Is Diesel Better or Petrol?

What is the difference between Diesel Engine and Petrol Engine. As None of the two are expensive here so i don't care of the expense of fuel so aside that which one is better?

If you buy a diesel car then you will not be able to speed beyond 80 KMPH but you will have a great torque power. If you are looking for good speed then go for petrol cars.

petrol is better. the engine survive for longer time too and we pay less for maintenance especially where in dubai we never have that leisure time to fix our own car.
