Cost of Catalytic Coverter

Hey Guys

Recently i gave my freelander to the service center and they reported that the catalytic converter of my car is broken and i need to replace it. They told me it will cost almost 2000$. I don't know if the price is reasonable or he is trying to make a fool of me. Can anyone tell me the exact price to replace the catalytic converter.

I think its too much! you don't live in california where catalytic converter is very expensive. I don't think it will cost you more than 1000$. You go to some other professionals as well and try to know the price.

It also differs from model to model. Some CC are specific for some models. For which model you are actually looking for? I would suggest you to browse some workshops before actually buying it.
