How can i recheck if timing belt has to be changed.

when i got check engine warning the car expert advised to change the timing belt. how can i re check if that the expert said is correct advise without spending anything.

Either check the manual and how old it is accordingly or there is a second way that you will need to open the engine and check the belt by bending the belt if you see cracks then its time to change it.

If car is over 100 thousand kms then its due time to change, or else check engine warning light must be indicating to something else. Get the computer test and it will show the fault code of what is bothering the engine.
