what material of break disc is better

what material are the break disc made of. is it metal or ceramic as i have been told that ceramic break disc are better then the metal but i have never heard of them.

please advice if ceramic is better then metal as they are due to change on my 2000 C Class car

100% ceramic is better, but its just 4 times expensive than normal ones.

Im sure now u knw what to buy.
