why is there moister on my car mat of Mitsubishi

after noticing some odd smell from the car i found moister under the car mat on the driver side and back driver side

what could be this be from

either the drain is plugged up and the evaporator housing is filling up with water or the housing is cracked and leaking.

it is also possible that it is draining properly out the drain but due to a missing rubber downspout and it siphon back along the drain pipe and back int to car under the mat.

remove the mat and check where exactly the leak is from
