Spark plug do have life from 20k km - 40k km. And in platinum plugs = 60k km and in Iridium = 80 -100k kms.

Missing, rough idling, difficult start, occasional loss in power is symptom of spark plug dying, however show to any mechanic and they can have single look and tell that if its due for change or not.
