battery is not charging even after changing the alternator

after my car battery stopped charging i got the battery checked which did not have a problem so the mechanic told me to change the alternator which i did as well but batter is still not charging

Check the battery BIG fuse which is BOLTED usually. If during the first jump start or while changing the battery some short circuit might have happen. Then this fuse busted. Its a big AMP fuse.
