ToyotaDubai
If ever there were a stereotypical vehicle for the Middle East, the Land Cruiser would be it. Toyota’s full-size SUV is hugely popular across the region thanks to its reliability and off-road prowess, as well as people-carrying abilities and comfort. Two engine choices and a range of trims are available, ensuring a Land Cruiser to suit most budgets. The entry-level range of Land Cruisers is powered by a 4.0-litre V6 engine producing 240bhp. The Standard model comes with either a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission and seats nine thanks to its fold down rear seats. Features include a radio cassette player, automatic air conditioning, electric windows and a push-button start. Safety features include ABS, electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist, which automatically applies the maximum braking force in an emergency. Dual front airbags are also included. The stripped-down GX model comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and seats eight, with manual windows and not much else. In contrast the GXR model comes with a six CD changer, cool box and a gold grille, as well as front and rear parking sensors and 17-inch alloys. Various GXR models are also available with a wide range of features such as a limited slip differential, curtain side airbags, cruise control and a sunroof. The more powerful Land Cruiser houses a 4.7-litre V8 engine, with 271bhp and a five-speed automatic gearbox. Its range starts with the feature-packed GXR, which comes with or without a safety package that features side and curtain airbags, as well as a locking rear differential. Three versions of the top-spec VXR trim include such features as 18-inch alloys, four-way air conditioning and various off-road technologies such as active traction control and hill assist control. Leather seats and an uprated sound system are also available. SOURCE: http://automiddleeast.com/2010-toyota-land-cruiser/
