Noise from the tIMING Chain

The noise from the timing chain is a big issue? I am really not sure about it. I have Mazda 2 from 3 years now. Never faced an issue so not sure about this one!

Basically, if you have a noisy timing chain then it leads to two things: Either the timing chain is loose or completely worn out.

 

In both the cases, the timing chain needs to be repaired and sometimes replaced.
