  1. I always get amazed with car manufacturer thinking that they have developed so many new technologies and still all car manufacturers are ignoring the engine overheating aspect. I am yet to see a car that is designed with simple sensor logic to shut-off car engine by killing the fuel or air supply as soon as engine temperature rises by more than 10-15%. Are these all manufacturers not doing this intentionally so lot of amateur blows their engine and they make good business from spare parts and repair....? Shame on them. I just heard from a poor guy in my office who blew his engine this morning, due to lack of coolant as car radiator was leaking and he did not noticed and hence his engine temperature hit the MAX red zone and then died. Now car is not starting at all.

  2. Hi Audi owner, I would like to discuss problem in my Audi A8 and believe to get a useful answer to resolve this issue. I purchased Audi A8 from Dubizzle just 2 month ago. It's 2011 model with over 190000 km approx. Just after 1000 km of run it began creating problem for me. I experienced my car is creating strange noise whenever I go over a bridge or flyover, or bad street. At some point I believe vibrations, excessive bouncing, car does not feel steady whenever I break I feel like I am driving bike with big shock-up in front. Also whenever I drive through a bump, my car tires literally bounce up and down nonstop. It happen usually getting all the way down from flyover majorly and speed breakers. I think Audi has some manufacturing problem or may be something else. I am not sure from where this sound is turning up and what the problem is! This is completely new and annoying to me. This noise disturbance is horrifying or annoying to me. Well I went to Audi supplier in Dubai and say the same problem, as per car auto mechanic information they don't discover any danger in my car!! Or maybe they don't want to acknowledge it as they might not have remedy for it. On the other side while looking online there are series of same problem that owner are facing!! I am not sure how I could fix this matter and where I should take my car because I hardly know any Audi nice garage. I wish somebody might aware of this matter here and help me with some appropriate proactive approach. I also want to understand what problem it could be, from where this noise is coming?

  4. Hi Derik, you were in wrong area as those people usually have american specs scarp and plus majorly are exporters. Japanese cars scrap retailers are in industrial area 6 in Sharjah, right behind the macro emirates, drive down 300 meters in the back lane and after the used PC, TV, and music system shops you will have dozens of scrap retailers, that will happy to fish out small small parts that you like. Of course you still got to scout a little on foot to search the Mitsubishi one's but I am sure you will find there. Exact location: 25°18'52.7"N 55°24'57.2"E

  5. Hi Abeer, Sorry to say this, but Audi A8's are known for their suspension problems. However, you don't mention anything about the air suspension system. Does the air suspension work properly, and did the garage you took it to perform a comprehensive diagnostic check? Do you see any warning lights that could mean that the suspension is defective? The air suspension in these Audi's are prone to all sorts of issues, and it seems that because as you say, the car is jumping and down, the system is not sufficiently pressurised. The most common problem is that the compressors on these systems fail, but the really bad news is that they are very expensive to replace. Unforunately, testing and replacing a compressor is best left to the dealers, so your first course of action should be to have the compressor checked out by having an OBD check performed at the dealers. The noises you hear is the result of suspension bushings that have worn out because the system is not supporting the weight of the car. There are many bushings in an Audi suspension and it is not always easy to locate the worn ones, because when the car is hoisted on a lift, the suspension system sags, which takes up the freeplay in the damaged bushings. The best way to identify damaged bushings is to use a lift that allows the car to remain on its wheels. A competent mechanic can then check each bushing by applying a levering action to it. This is in fact the only way to identify worn or damaged bushings, and my advice would be to take the car to a competent independent garage, because they won't charge you as much as the dealers will. I hope this helps, and please keep us posted, since it may help other members as well.

  6. Hello, I am the owner of Audi 2004 model with 2.0 L petrol engine. Last night in the morning when I started my car at around 5:15am, as usual to go to my office in Dubai, I notice some awful nocking disturbance. It only do the disturbance or noise for about 4 to 5 second and then appears to be excellent driving/starting after get heated. Now the mechanic say leave your car at middle of the noon with them, and in morning he will wake up early and check the noise at 5:14, Stupid. Anyway I think they do it like with all customer. Just raising this question forum to understand is the problem with the low oil? Or It could be just because in the hot or cold weather? The only thing which make me worry is I changed my car only just before 25 days back around. Any suggestion or clue to solve the problem will be appreciated.

  8. Hello Aiden it's a nice car and unique one Allroad had 2 engines 2.7 turbo charged and 4.2 naturally aspired for both you have to check the following: - if it's over heating and fans on low speed and radiator still cold (can be touched by hand) so you have a thermostat problem - if over heating and fans on high speed and radiator is hot and coolant level is coming lower you need to check coolant cap (the blue cap with red warning triangle on it) -if over heating and fans on high speed and radiator is hot and coolant level is ok but you notice that cooling pipes are hard and indicating high pressure (put something in your hand to protect from heat and squeeze it) that indicate a head gasket failure. - Engine fan clutch failure can cause over heating after slowing down from high speed (over 140 Km/H) - if it's not over heating while running AC so the fan speed relay have a problem - Try to run a diagnostic to check fan speed controller and fans. Good Luck

  10. I bought new q5 just done 3000 km in month time . Suddenly it shows orange engine sign on display . Ali & son come up with bizarre conclusion that cat entered in engine compartment and it might have pulled sensors and since warranty does not cover the same so 2000 Dhs charged from me if any of you check Audi Q5 USA / Uk forum this sensor problem is quite common in Audi Q5 . so my advise to all prospective buyers Audi is part of Volkswagen group and they along with their dealers never afraid to cheat you .

  11. Do you get check engine light or exhaust light in dash...? Ask those guys to give you same cat/dog/ explanation in writing and see their color changes. Then ask them to show you the warranty disclaimer that carries the exclusion for cat activities.....!

  12. Over time, the wiper on BMW X5, X6 cars goes down, the brush «sticky» at work, or stop moving completely. The reason is that the wiper motor BMW 61617200510 wear plastic pinion teeth licks. Riding with a defective wiper is very dangerous, especially in winter. The manufacturer sells only trapeze wiper assembly with an electric motor worth more than $400. We produce and sell the gear motor wiper BMW 61617200510 separately.

  13. I absolutely agree that when pricing comes to UAE it adds at least 20% extra than the global pricing which actually kills lot of spirit of buying any newly launched models. The only interesting part of seeing this car is seeing 3.8 seconds for 0-100 sprint. If BMW is achieving this with M4, then what scores will M5 and M6 actually gets for 2016, that will be an interesting bet to hold. My estimates are: 2016 BMW M5: 3.0 - 3.2 Seconds2016 BMW M6: 2.4 - 2.8 Seconds.

  14. Looks like it will be around the US$120k mark when the 2016 model is released in the US so I would guess anything up to US$150K out here but you can probably pick up the the 2010 model for around US$60K. More expensive than a usual BMW of course but then your paying for a concept car. I talked to some BMW fan boys about this new model at a recent track day in Dubai. They seemed pretty excited about the M4 GTS concept so I read up on it. It seems the 2016 model will have an even higher performance with an amazing new water injection system is set up which draws water from a 6 L tank and was used by BMW in the M4 safety car for the world motorcycle Grand Prix series. Basically this means the whole system will be able to output even more torque and horse power than before. The outside of the car has also been upgraded with a larger spoiler at the rear and a chin splitter which is supposed to make the car even more aerodynamic. Both these items are made from composite materials and carbon fibre plastic to save on weight and enhance performance. The wheels also look great - BMW calls then 666M style which go really well with the dark grey paint job but not sure about the orange rims! Take look at this video and photos here
