I am seeing the ads too much these days for renault duster in dubai showing as get the best offorad experience and reach the unreachable bla bla. Last month when I was checking and researching same car then 2 of my friends says that it will sneeze on the beach sand so let alone uae offroad experience. I really can't understand who is right and not... Can someone please shed some light on this car or suv or 4x4 (whatever they call it). Thanks.

Hey People, I really enjoy driving this amazing beast or a luxury car on Dubai road. It been one of the most special car to after coming to Dubai. I love this car a lot. I would like to raise one small problem happen last night after visiting Dubai mall. Everything was going great and I went to mall with my family to enjoy some shopping, well the car was park when I reach without any hassle. But when I am back to get my car from parking my family was waiting to the exit door I notice a problem in shifting from ""P"" to ""D"" mode. When I was trying to move the gear lever from parking to drive mode it was making a scratch sound. I did not realize what has happen, I tried at least 6 time to get it to the driving mode but all the trial was failed with scratching sound. I was scared I don’t know what has happen suddenly to the car. I came down from the car and give a final try after 10 minutes, I pushed brake and tried to remove a safety key and put it back and tried again, this time with the god grace it started and easily shifted in to drive mode. I don’t understand how! But again now at this time after reaching to my home safely I found another problem where I was not able to shift the gear into ""R"" the shifter was not catching the gear! Well at 11 pm in the night I did not bother to indulge more time, because it seem my car had a severe issue in shifting gear into ""P"" and ""R"". I hope I am thinking in a right direction?? Is gearbox gone for a toss? Is there any cheaper fix to repair it, as I am sure gearbox in this big beast must be damn expensive. Any cost effective ideas guys....?

Hi Friends, My 2008 Ford Edge with 139000 km began to show a problem when I press straight down on the accelerator but the Edge would not respond. I tried and change gear but nothing happen. At the same time observed a transmission lagging, dropping, and loud/hard changes while shifting in gear. I called the Ford dealer. They said to switch car off and back again on. After that test out car worked excellent. It began working as if absolutely nothing was wrong. Instantly Again the same has happen yesterday when I was on a road trip where it felt like transmission slipped out of gear and the wrench light came on and off. But this time I also experienced it was in neutral, it wouldn’t accelerate when I pressed the gas. I did the same switch on/off activity and it seemed excellent. I am afraid now about this continuous problem with this car. Guy's please suggest me best garage near Al quos to fix my car soon in affordable prize price. That will be great help.

Hi Audi owner, I would like to discuss problem in my Audi A8 and believe to get a useful answer to resolve this issue. I purchased Audi A8 from Dubizzle just 2 month ago. It's 2011 model with over 190000 km approx. Just after 1000 km of run it began creating problem for me. I experienced my car is creating strange noise whenever I go over a bridge or flyover, or bad street. At some point I believe vibrations, excessive bouncing, car does not feel steady whenever I break I feel like I am driving bike with big shock-up in front. Also whenever I drive through a bump, my car tires literally bounce up and down nonstop. It happen usually getting all the way down from flyover majorly and speed breakers. I think Audi has some manufacturing problem or may be something else. I am not sure from where this sound is turning up and what the problem is! This is completely new and annoying to me. This noise disturbance is horrifying or annoying to me. Well I went to Audi supplier in Dubai and say the same problem, as per car auto mechanic information they don't discover any danger in my car!! Or maybe they don't want to acknowledge it as they might not have remedy for it. On the other side while looking online there are series of same problem that owner are facing!! I am not sure how I could fix this matter and where I should take my car because I hardly know any Audi nice garage. I wish somebody might aware of this matter here and help me with some appropriate proactive approach. I also want to understand what problem it could be, from where this noise is coming?

I have seen in many video (never tried) all the drifters steer the car in opposite direction, as while turning right, they drift car and steer left and vice versa. what is teh logic for this and I am really curious to know?

I am absolutely surprise with the new MINI Cooper Clubman that is successful in providing a bit more traveler driver and cargo space while staying lightweight and nimble. I really like its tail gate that is top to bottom divided, as a ""six-door."" Awesome styling done by MINI, remind me of my old Nissan Patrol. I discovered that this edition of MINI is much more realistic than before?? It offer a lot of protection and comfort functions that was not available in the first edition. Along with that it is effective and fun to drive car for 2016 for sure. I might be seriously considering this car as my next car upgrade and really appreciate any type of advice here to steer clear from any pitfalls.

Hi guy, I am having an issue with my 2010 Hyundai Elantra. I am not sure about what that is, and why my car began acting like that. Well everything was quite ok before 7 days. It ran about 130000 only. Yesterday returning to home from office I observe that car jerking like it was not in the right gear. I tried to control by shifting gear enounously twice and three times but seem nothing happening. I parked it near petrol station for about 10 min and tried to do some examine like getting car in reverse but nothing happen, Subsequently I took a little run and figure out the same snazzy jerk again. Slowly I took it to local garage and got to know that transmission is began slipping again and again without verifying car throughout. He advise me to change it. I was amazed to the need of transmission change absolutely only after five years of smooth driving from office to home and home to office. I am not sure about it but seems like the transmission slipping has been common issue with this year of car design. The garage guy said that for this car exclusively 2010 to 2013 they are changing transmitting at least one per day. Now when I went to Cars dealer they said another tale that there was an internal failure in 3rd gear!!! Different tale for different day might be. This is silly that a transmitting would have to be changed this soon? Is that a issue with this year/model car? Please recommend me guy whether I should go with authorized dealer or Local garage??

I am not a very happy Honda owner right now. At 7000 miles the dealer replaced the original brake pads because of the slight grinding noise that I was complaining about. They said that there was a problem with "only that specific batch". At 12000 miles the noise started to get louder. This weekend at 18000 the noise is louder than ever before and a lot more frequent. Went to the shop again today. They could not hear the noise and since the pads were replaced with the so-called "upgraded" pads they could not do any more. Intermittently, I can still hear the noise. Figured it's about time I asked a few Honda fanatics on this site for some advice.

Hi jabbarali, I asssume the car has an automatic transmission? If so, then this kind of problem is almost always caused by dirty transmission fluid that causes some of the moving parts in the valve body to stick, thus causing the jerky shifts. The valve body is the part of the transmission that regulates gearshifts, and it is full of small valve shuttles, ball valves, springs, and other small moving parts that control and regulate the flow of the transmission fluid. So when transmission fluid becomes old, dirty, or contaminated, the fluid breaks down, and causes the formation of sludge, varnishes, and gums that can prevent critical parts from moving freely. This can also happen if the engine has overheated before you bought the car. The transmission fluid is cooled by a seperate circuit in the radiator, so if the engine has overheated, the excessive heat has destroyed the additives in the transmission fluid which can cause sludge to form, and so interfere with, or prevent the movement of critical parts. Your first step must be to check the colour of the fluid. If your transmission has a dipstick, pull it out and check to see if the fluid is dark in colour. If it is dark, the fluid is old. Fluid in good condition must be bright red, transparent, and it must not have a "burnt" smell. Sadly, the bad news is that replacing the fluid will not always fix this kind of problem, since old fluid can cause some parts to stick so much that the only way to free them is to have the transmission taken apart to replace sticking parts. Nevertheless, my advice would be to replace the transmission fluid with the correct grade and type for your car, and to see if this fixes the issue. You must also replace the filter, so I suggest you take your car to a repair shop because you need to remove the oil pan to access the transmission filter. However, do NOT have the transmission flushed with any sort of machine because if there is sludge present, the sludge could be forced into small oil passages where it could block some circuits permanently, and the only way to fix this is to replace the transmission. You may need to replace the fluid a few times to get rid of all the old fluid, but if you do not notice an improvement after the second fluid replacement, a third fluid replacement is a waste of money, and you will have to have the transmission repaired by a specialist repair shop. It is possible to replace the valve body alone, but this is usually just as expensive as replacing a complete transmission, which can cost thousands in any currency. NOTE: If the car jerks all the time while it is in first and second gear, the problem could also be caused by issues in the software that controls the transmission. The only way to confirm this is to have the car diagnosed with suitable diagnostic equipment to extract all the fault codes in the fault memory. I hope this helps you, but replace the fluid first before you do anything else, and please post the results of the fluid replacement. I would like to know how it turns out, and it may help other members with the same or similar problems.
