  1. Well Ive driven as far as Ras Al Khaimah and Abu Dhabi to show a car. Anyways things to note is pics of cars with no number plates or blue export plates. Anyways I just scan the advs everyday and see if car is not being sold for a long time and if he is dropping prices and so on. For me cash is king, I never discuss price over phone, msg or mail, at best I'll ask if there is any wiggle room. Then I get cash with me, for example if its priced at 20. I'll. Take 20 with me because of its a good deal I dont want to miss it fpr a few 1000 dhs but I will keep aside say 15. Go have a look at the car, be nice and courteous, test drive and all. Then if I think its a good car. I lay the groundwork for my shtick. Take out the 15k from my pocket. Lay it on the hood and tell him look man the car is great and I really like it, but its got xyz or i need to spend abc to get it right. So look here Im right here right now with cash so you know Im a serious buyer. And we will go transfer it right now. You wont have to attend any more calls, no more showings, no more tire kicker test drives. No taking to mechanics to check, No more Ill think about it and call you tomorrow etc etc. Straight up deal in a hour I drive away with a car and you with all that cash in your pocket. And 9 times out of 10 this works. Just last month I purchased a car for my friend which was initially advertised for 22k. I told him to bring cash and I'll do the talking. In less than an hour we were at Tasjeel paying 16k for it. Before that same shtick 11k car for 6k. And when selling. Good nice clean daylight pics are a must. A good detailed description including at least one thing that is wrong not right with it. And I never post my phone number. If someone is interested in buying your car for 1000s of dhs Im sure he can send you an email or msg. Otherwise you will be hounded all day long with. Habibi blease what is last brice on the phone.

  2. I am assuming that System->Preferences->Sound and go to Hardware it's not showing anything at all. 1: If its not showing then you must try this command: sudo aptitude -y purge alsa-base && sudo aptitude -y install ubuntu-desktop this will reset the entire sound card settings and reload. It always worked for me and hopefully will work for you. 2: If in settings your output device is listed or showing dummy output as you stated earlier then use below commands: Step 1: sudo alsa force-reload It will take couple of seconds to finish this command. Once its done reboot. Try to check if its working now perfect you do not have to proceed to step 2 or 3, but if it did not then proceed to step 2 and so on. Step 2: sudo apt-get remove --purge alsa-base pulseaudio Step 3: sudo apt-get install alsa-base pulseaudio Last and final command : pulseaudio --start waiting for the results now fingers crossed...... You do not have to pay back as we are member of one family so it absolutely fine though I will disturb you a lot for my car . Thanks for appreciating

  4. Ok...... long time coming I think, so late last month it was announced that SandStorm motors has launched Al Reem UAEs first 4x4 vehicle. From the press release "Sandstorm has launched 'Al Reem' - the very first Emirati 4x4 sport utility vehicle (SUV). The car has been launched in the local market and will be available in the rest of the Arab region by 2019. The company will produce 1,000 cars in the first phase followed by 6,000 cars in the second phase. In addition, the company has a plan to launch its pickup" And literally no other details were given, what engine, transmission, options specs, nothing. And surprisingly the manufacturers website also has no mention of it although there are also a lots of pics of the Pick up mentioned in the press release but only pictures and once again nothing else And the pick up From the pics the Pickup looks to be a manual while the SUV an auto. Its a ladder frame chassis so thats a good thing for a tough off roader Once again no mention of pricing either so no idea what these are going to cost. The pick up for sure is the better looking one from the two in my opinion. Question is would you buy one, and if so what would you be willing to pay for it and what kind of engine do you think it has? I'm guessing the motor is derived from another manufacturer.
