We had a great drive this morning. This area of Nahel is never disappointing, and we could enjoy beautiful desert scenery. Of course, the purpose was driving, and we did it totally, taking benefit from the variety of terrain available. We started with nice open dunes as a warm up, practicing a few straight crossings. The sand was soft and humid in shady places, requiring accurate steering and power dosing.
After the break, we came to a few bigger climbs, and a technical area, to finally reach the Ghafeteen Bowl, where we could play around, releasing the power of the cars to climb to the top and loop around. We realized also that the descent is part of the learning, and controlling the car to go down straight at a controlled pace is not that easy.
Then is was time to reach the exit, crossing again the technical area before reaching the sand track. A quick pull at the end was the only recovery, the other stuck situations have been all self recovered.
@Yurybel, your car is now ready for the next level, and soon will you be also. Thank you for the 2nd Lead. Except for one climb where you were over-steering, and had a bit of difficulty to stabilise the descent, you had an excellent control of your car during the drive.
@Dipu Francis once your tire pressure was adjusted, you had better traction. With more drives, you will become more confident and make the best use of the power available with the FJ.
@saumik1989 with more practice, you will become more confident on the crossings, and avoid getting stuck on the top. You gained also better understanding of the climbs, well done.
@Zubail thank you for the sweep. Excellent drive on your side, and good communications, thank you.
You can post your photos in the gallery, and your comments here. Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and see you soon.
