Dear Desertnauts Finally we have our lineup and drive plan for tomorrow. After a bit of back and forth, all members, signed up and on the waiting list have been accommodated. This has extended the convoy to a total of 16 drivers, which makes it quite a long one. In consideration of this, and because the drive is a Recce in an unexplored area, we'll have to tweak the drive plan on the cautious side, especially if, and when, facing tall or close dunes, and tight or soft pockets. There is a chance that I'll have to go in first to test the terrain, and possibly take the convoy through bit by bit, a few drivers at the time. This should add to the drive an element of "adventureness". There is also the plan to extend the drive beyond the giant farm in the middle of this area, through a short drive on a dirt track, to the dunes just north-east of Sweihan, possibly ending somewhere not far from the Nahil area (just on its opposite side of E20). Considering the more limited number of drivers than on.Tuesday (including 2 strong Support Team members) I have decided to carry out just 1 Recce drive, from Al Ajban West extended to Al Ajban East. So, no more 2 separate drives, but only 1, with a bit of a longer convoy, but still manageable. I would only adjust the departure to 8AM, so we'll have more time to complete this longer exploration, planning to exit around 12:30. Hi Davie, Thanks for the welcome and accepting you for Saturday’s trip. My brief introduction, I am leaving in Abu Dhabi, 43 year old. I have very little experience of desert drive just a few times had opportunity to drive in the desert. I have Nissan Petrol V6, 2024 Model. The car has a rear tow hook, and I need to check if there is any front hook. I have UHF transceiver, off-road flag, Tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, etc. I watched the Newbie video Looking forward to see you.

Hi All, slightly delayed response to last weekends drive. But I just want to say that it was tremendous fun. Difficult terrain, very technical, very soft and mannnn!! the dunes are high. But everyone drove great! … thanks @Frederic @Srikumar @Imran Asghar @DP1011 for your lead(s) and support throughout the drive! First time in LIWA and looking forward to returning in the future. And I can say with confidence that I climbed Moreeb dune, yeah it was the baby side but still I don’t need to tell anybody that 😉😂 apologies to all for my absence during the camp. I was fast asleep 😴 … not sleeping Friday night and driving all day Saturday completely took it out of me. Next time I’ll be more alive and kicking. all the best and I’ll see you all again on the next one 🤟🏻

SUPPORT TEAM Pre-requisite 1) Minimum 10 any level "Carnity" drives are required after your Intermediate promotion to become eligible for the Support Team. Once you decide to join Team Carnity to excel further with your off-roading, people, and commanding skills, you will be extensively trained by the whole Team Carnity from Expert - Marshal - Crew at various stages by supporting different levels drives. Activities for Support Team Members Support different Marshals and Crew at Newbie level drives to demonstrate: Your ability and willingness to support new offroaders. Ability to gain control of commanding situations. And clear communication skills to help manage the convoy. Possible progress toward becoming an Advisor Once you have proved to be a regular Supporting Team member and have supported different trip leads on several Newbie and Fewbie drives, we will gather your periodic feedback. Based on this feedback and reviews you might receive an invitation to become a Carnity Advisor for further advancement within our community. You will also need to have completed a minimum of 5 Intermediate Level drives, and be a regular club member (minimum supporting 6 Newbie or Fewbie drives per quarter) to become eligible. Being invited to an Advisor role means we put our faith in you as a passionate club member who displays maturity and passion to carry your knowledge on to new off-roaders who are still progressing through the ranks.
