  6. Hi All, I recently changed the look of my car by adding some side decals to my Jeep. Three main points were on my list, and I’d like to explain point three in particular, as it’s actually the only one where I can offer some practical advice. Which colour you choose or which stickers you add to your car is very individual, and I certainly won’t comment on personal taste. After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Which workshop you use (or whether you do it yourself) is again entirely up to everyone. I visited four shops that do PPF and vehicle wrapping before choosing one that seemed competent and reasonably priced. That said, in DIP or Al Quoz alone there are probably more than 40 shops offering similar services, so options are plentiful. There is one thing you do need to take care of: registering the colour change in your Mulkiya (vehicle registration). This part is the same for everyone, so here are a few helpful hints. First of all, if you do not register the wrap or colour change (whether private or professional, e.g., advertising), there can be a fine. At the latest, this will likely come up during your annual vehicle inspection. My short step-by-step guide 1. Apply for the NOC I went to my nearest Tasjeel (RTA) center and asked for assistance to apply for the online Dubai Police registration. You can also do this through the Police app, but since I was feeling a bit lazy (and slightly technologically cautious), I used the professionals at Tasjeel and invested an additional 50 AED for their help to apply for the NOC (Non-Objection Certificate) on my behalf. What you need (soft copies): a.) Your Emirates ID b.) Your current Mulkiya c.) Four pictures of your car (front, back, and both sides) before the colour change d.) The description of the new colour/design (simple Picture will do) (If you have multiple colours or a design, a drawing or rendering helps) You must also agree on a maximum of four colours that the police will mention in the NOC. After paying the NOC fee of 120 AED, you receive a receipt and the NOC. In my case, it arrived by email about three hours later (I learned it can take up to 24Hr’s). Theoretically you can only change the colour after you have received the NOC (attached as .pdf) 2. Vehicle inspection The next day I went back to the Tasjeel inspection center and applied for the colour change inspection. Inspection fee: 170 AED Once approved, I then applied for the actual change of the Mulkiya (both in the RTA app and the physical card), which is just another counter in the same building. Total cost 50 AED – NOC application assistance (optional) 120 AED – NOC fee 170 AED – Tasjeel vehicle inspection 120 AED – Mulkiya update / renewal Total: 460 AED All in all, the process was straightforward. Once it’s done = free of mind / Ride on! NOC .pdf

  9. Hi, @Imran Asghar let me share my experience. I had my decals done with a company called www.just-graphics.ae in Al Quoz. The guy I dealt with is called Shugar (your brother), Tel: 050 533 5004. He is super friendly and very helpful. They have a 1.8 m wide digital printer and can print almost any design on matte or glossy foil. After about a week, I went back for a bonding check. They advised doing a small upgrade by applying PPF around the decals near the doors, especially on the lower part, to prevent possible damage from small stones and road debris. They did this FOC (free of charge). Their design team is very competent. If you provide them with a rendering, they will first produce a small mock-up and place it on the car so you can confirm the colours and overall look before proceeding. I believe if you visit them, you can at least get an initial quote for your consideration. Regardless of whether you want a “Paris-Dakar” rally look or something more elegant using burgundy, gold, and silver, these are the guys to speak to. Anything goes! Below I made some renderings, unique and not from the Web 😁 Have fun Bro!
