  1. Dear Desert Drivers Thank you for joining the drive this morning. It was a long convoy, and you managed to keep your focus and concentration whatever your position. No stuck, a few minor refusals, it shows your capabilities, going through the dunes, despite the bums and bushes that are difficult to avoid in this area. After a warm up in this nice environment, we reached the long ridges, where the words "control your car" take a specific meaning. As we have all experienced starting on a wide flat ridge is nice and easy, when the ridge becomes sharp and narrow, when its going up, or down, when it is turning, it becomes another story, and keeping the balance of the the car requires your full skills and concentration. You did all very well at this, the most important being to keep the control, and to go down safely when you feel you are not making it. We kept enjoying until @Joseph Raju and @Faraz94 got crested (thank you @Cha for the quick tug). it was probably a sign to move to something else. After a small technical portion, we finished the drive in a nice and easy rolling set of white dunes, before joining the sabkha and looping back to our starting point. Thank you @Joseph Raju for the second lead, @Richard Franks for the sweep (even if you were so far behind, I couldn't hear you on the radio), @Cha for great support from the middle, keeping the convoy together. @lucas amat @Faraz94 @Sreenath G @essam ibrahim @Dan S @Mahesh_ @Stan very well driven, adjusting your driving according to the capabilities of your cars. For the more experienced drivers, @Bjoern, @Waqar Sarwar @Zulfikhar Naiyar thank you for joining and supporting the convoy with excellent team spirit!

  8. Searching online seems that’s a common problem with the inhibitor switch located underneath the car next to the transfer box. If you mechanic suggested to replace the transmission mounts to resolve the issue, then I would really suggest you find another one as it seems he doesn’t know what he is doing!! It is like replacing your wiper blade because the wipers aren’t moving.

  10. Sad to know that you are leaving @Hisham Masaad. I have been in your drive a couple of times. You were always calm and master all the dunes. Hope to see you again soon. I really enjoyed to drive with you. Wish you health and happy as usual.

  11. While I have released one video from our drive from Al Saad last week - it is going to be a two part series and only one of two has been released - so I will not post those videos here. Instead I want to look back to a spectacular Intermediate Drive I drove in October last year. It was second drive of "Sweihan Drives" Series on 23 Oct 2022 series by @M.Seidam. With Support from @DP1011 as second lead, @Davie Chase in the middle who was in his 50th Drive and me at the sweep. We also had @Imran Kashif, @Imteeaz, @Daniel Yang (who exited midway), and @Tom B in front of me. Part 1 Sweihan: This is the 1st part of two part series in which we drive in the Swihan area. It was a fast paced drive involving a lots criss crossing in the dunes of Sweihan. Part 2 Nahel: This is the 2nd part of two part series in which we drive from in Nahil (Nahel) area. It was a more technical than previous part and tested the skills of all of us. Hope you enjoy these two videos.

  13. Hi All, Looking for some advice on a current issue. After driving my Pajero 3.5 GLS 2010 for over 90 mins, the car will slip into neutral, with both the D & N lights illuminated on the dash, gear lever stays in situ, if i then select N and back to D whilst driving, this cures the problem for a matter of seconds or minutes, this can happen 4 or 5 times but will then usually run ok for 5-10 mins before happening again. If i allow the car to cool down, it runs just fine. Strangely the issue only happens after roughly 90 mins of continuous driving. I've changed the transmission mounts and fluid in the hope this might help but to no avail. Any ideas here on what the issue could be? Many Thanks
