  1. That's quiet strange, have you asked them to give you same in writing as mattd suggested...? If I am in your place, I will def discuss with them on emails the other forum extract as a known issue and not a cat problem and see what they say/do. If all fail, I will speak to Audi Middle East and see how they can help. After all it's a brand new car and dealer should cover every possible malfunctioning in the warranty unless it's an accidental damage. Even if 1 % we agree that cat entered the system, then also it's Audi's problem to design the engine bay in such manner and leave those sensor uncovered. Similar situation happen with (I think) with Ford USA where spiders were making cobweb in the car exhaust and check engine light was coming, they fixed the problem at their own cost.
  2. **********Hall of fame post********* Btw, which sensor is spoiled?
  3. Front has become all-time ugly now. Previous look was not bad and def better than this bulldog looks man. Kasim, thing sometime out of the sandbox mate. I seriously hope that Lexus is not rolling this new design in all cars moving forward, which they usually do
  4. Let me be the first one this time, to share the UAE ever dropping fuel prices due to global over-supply and lower brent pricing. Almost all petrol types dropped by 2 fils and Diesel by 4 fils per liter.
  5. I am all in bud, let me know if you need any help in prep....?
  6. That's a good news for us man, but bad for economy as its dipping down so much crude prices (40 usd) that everything seems to stall because of that.
  7. That's an insane stats bro, and imagine if shaikh zayed road in dubai does not have radar camera every 2 kms so people will go more crazy. I am not sure if anyone remember this hear, but few years back there was a rumour that dubai police will have some rfid chip in new number plates that automatically issue a fine everytime you exceed speed more than 20km grace limit. I know it's too suffocating idea but that way at least they can curb these many violations and make safer roads. Wht you think guys....?
  8. These aggressive ideas will still not secure the road than fixing the driving school base practice who does not teach basic driving manners and etiquette. Only rules have been taught and nothing else. There are thousands of dumb drivers happily driving and causing all below non-sense since eternity: Cutting from right most lane to left lane in 5 seconds for crossing 4 lanes.Hitting the brakes 1 km in advance of red light.Rubber necking on every accident and cause endless pile of traffic.Drive on 80 km speed on a road of 120 km and not ready to move aside.Enter the round abound w/o checking any shoulder.Keeping 500 meter distance between the car on Sheikh Zayed Road.NEVER EVER use indicator in their entire life.Never give side in bumper to bumper traffic.Tailgate you 5 inches away and flash light like tsunami is about to hit.Talking on phone, doing make-up, texting while driving and getting distracted and swiveling in lanes.
  9. Water injection has been used in drag racing and more aggressive motor sports to cool the air intake that enters the fuel chamber. Water injection can be placed in air intake assembly to spray water mist in the air before it goes inside the combustion cycle. This gives temporary gains by having cold air intake that burn the combustion mixture more optimally.
  10. Saleem: So does that mean that VW planted an additional air suction source to add outside air in exhaust to dilute the emission reading......? Correct me if I am wrong. I am too curious to understand this but no source ever published about the actual stuff under the hood.
  11. In my family, one of my uncle recently got the 2015 Ford explorer 2-3 months back and it died twice on the road: Once while driving, once in the mall parking. Though after all he restarted the car after few minutes it started back like normal, but I mean why car shutdown by itself without any reason or failure and then start working fine again. Baaah. Any explorer fans here encounter same.....? What is the remedy....? Any big risk.....?
  12. Ford DNA is the key to success of F-150 and then raptor took over the project with enough limelight. This looks now F-150 inching closer to raptor footsteps. And yes it is made for normal public, as ref to militiary-grade is just a word use to impress civillian that they are getting something what military guys uses it. Still it's heavy long bed truck so dont jump with it and dont go on small sand dunes, and you will be fine otherwise.
  13. Against all odds, Tesla is breaking lot of new grounds as unexpectedly by many. This seems good success and complimenting achievement of Tesla by mobilsolar power guys. Kudos for the 100% clean energy.
  14. Enjoy boyz the fight between top 3 contender for entry level luxury sedan.....!
  15. Frankly speaking you don't need any specialized Hyundai service center to be honest. All Japanese, Korean and American cars are very easy to fix and no need for any specialize mechanics. It's the German manufacturer are the most sensitive and complex to repair, not any other. I have been taking my car to Autozone in Rashidiya since few years and they have been great so far, very honest, straight forward and competitive priced compare to the dealers. First time my car went when it was involved in accident as they repair lot of insurance cars.
  16. This Jeep indeed looks bad ass ride and wondering how much kick it will have if stock power-plant comes with turbo charging. What a blessing for true jeep, although turbo charge induction might kill few years of extended engine life but it will be more fun and capability for a true legend. Only thing need a big improvement is the circular alloy design, gives that early 2000 feel, now more straight spokes is in the fashion.
  17. I can order it today, if I have that money. This looks nice but I am thinking of how nice S coupe (AMG version) will be....?
  18. This looks like Infiniti FX more now, but seems good design skills evolving in Mazda overall who have been famous for designing one car shape and running it forever. At least competitive edge behavior makes it look they are working in right direction now.
  19. City is small engine so will cost you lot less than civic on daily basis, so do consider that point as well.
  20. This is super awesome idea man, I am sure this must be from Russian land. As all simple and creative stuff comes from them only.
  21. For any electrical related issue, I will highly advise anyone to check all the fuses and relays first and see if any blown out fuse or burnt (dark color) relay shows. Change of fuse is easy from spare fuse placed in the fuse box cover, for relay replacement for testing try to replace with same color neighboring relay for other electrical component and see if it works. If rear AC start working then buy the same relay from spar parts and replace. If new relay also get burnt in few days or month, make a visit to electrician to get your HVAC system full diagnostic. So now time to get your car manual and spend good 30 mins self diagnostic, in finding how many fuse and relay boxes your car as every is different and usually they have 2 fuse boxes one in the engine bay and one under or around front passenger or driver seat. Look under the steering as well. I don't where chevy places it in traverse, better google if you can't find. If all fuses and relays are fine, then there is too little for self diy and you got to see the professional mechanic or better qualified and certified electrician to get the proper fix.
  22. As we have seen many mobile radar camera in back of cars or placed behind a tree a lot in here, my question is whether these acts are actually allowed or no....? I hope some of your agree as per privacy issue there is a reasonable prerequisite that asks for a visible disclosure of camera presence in advance by few 100 meters. Like in building and lifts it says this area is "under CCTV surveillance" or on international highways it says this "road is monitored by radar". As I am not the only one in my car and I might have family or friends travelling with me and clicking pictures without an advance warning ahead is not a quite right thing to do in my opinion. Off lately few months back, I read somewhere that Dubai police were discouraging the use of mobile speed camera and now since few days I am seeing one placed regularly and nicely hidden behind the road barrier. Is anyone have some clarity on this whether it's allowed or not?
  23. I still think Mercedes makes lot of sense for comfortable long drive. After all it's S class, need respect.
  24. If you have a S Class then there is no point of thinking about Pajero. In long drives your prime focus is to get the most comfortable vehicle you own. Only thing make sure that Mercedes is well service and free from any issues, as in such long trip you will not find roadside mechanic touching S class who could be more comfortable with Pajero. Second point of concern is the route, I am not educated on that part very well and can only advise you that you choose the full tarmac road which is more straight than steep uphill on mountains so that Merc drives like a breeze.
