  1. How many traffic violation you had in one year? It can be parking fine, speeding ticket, lane discipline, use of mobile, seat belt or anything in general.

If you don't mind sharing, leave a comment with further details of what violation it was....?

    • Mine is 5-10, out of which majority are speeding tickets :-( and then parking time exceeding time ticket.
  2. I know city is small and cheaper by an inch than comparing to Civic, but anyone knows the real comparison in real life of using it.

    1. Is City in cheaper in maintenance and spare parts too?
    2. Is City is better fuel mileage?
    3. Is city is better resale value?
    4. Is city is better in reliability, durability?
    5. Is city is better in safety and modern technology...?

Someone in my close family stuck on city and I failed to make him understand that Civic better, so I am wondering now as to how to understand that city is better in overall comparison. Thanks.

  3. No offence to any nationalities and I dont want to start any racism war here, I am simply curious to know which is the most preferred nationality for buying used car from...?

I am seeing few cars lately and depending on different nationality I see the huge difference in car keeping. Some cars are so clean and well taken care of that it smells almost like factory new and few others are moderately used with chipped buttons and knobs and worst is few having a philip screw screwed in the dashboard and driver sill to have additional wiring for music system

Please vote above the preferred nationality and have a fair reason for explanation (not because you like that country or it's your country). Thanks

  4. Seems Hisham wants to sell his car.

For selling your car for best possible price, atleast get all the problem fixed from minor to major as if problem fix cost 100 aed then buyer will deduct 200 so better get job done in 100 and then sell for fair price.

If you are in rush, put sale price 2-5% less than market value, to sell it faster.

  5. V8 engine racing, I think has improved tremendously from the the engine horsepower increase point of view and plus the tremendous decrease in fuel consuption. V8 in 90's were delivering 200 hp and driking 25l/100 wherease today V8 good pony cars deliver 400+ horsepower and sip 12-15L/100 kms.

Second improvement, I think is the noise and reliability of engine hard wearing components. This is again an advancement as we all learn and so as the engineers have learnt this with time in using good grade pistons, timing chains, valves, etc that can withstand that level of thrashing on a regular basis.

Third prolly, is the gearing (that has nothing to do with V8) per say, but more in car engineering evolution as 3-4 gears max in 90's transformed to 8-10 gears now, gives very big room for driver and choosing the right gear for all almost all style of driving.

What you do sahan, studying cars or engineering...?

  6. Researching little on Mustang tells that before 2010 model was having 4.6L V8 motor and producing 300hp, and 2011 onwards 3.7L V6 produces same and V8 produce 412 hp.

Any takers for V6 engine, as I am heavily confused with 300+ hp must be good enough for that Pony car in Dubai...!

Im thinking of 2011 or 2012 model in range of 60-70k AED so I can either choose V6 with GCC specs or V8 with US Specs.

I know very little about specs confusion so appreciate if someone can shed some light on differences between GCC specs and US specs in Ford Mustang 2011 onwards.

    Thanks in advance.
