  1. Hey Guys, Wassup!!!

I had a quick question. My friend has a BMW M-series car. He is searching for a local auto parts shop where you can get the auto parts of BMW, which are certified and reasonable price. Does anyone of you know any place in Dubai like that? Please let me know. Thanks

    Take care.

  2.  Well, i think Honda is best. Its more reliable and completely safe to drive. I had a hyundai car before, and trust me there was some or the other issue in the car all the time. The customer service by Hyundai was also not upto the expectation. They dont really care about their cutomers i think. And Kia car, you cannot really trust the manufacturing of the car. All i know is Kia comes up with lot of manufacturing fault in the car. Honda is way better and smooth car to drive. Customer service is excellent too!

  3. Well, very good point to cover actually. You know I have been a part of fraud some times. It really annoys. I can take down some points that I have learned from frauds that happened to me and some of my friends:

Bill for your servicing: Always remember to take your bill and complete assessment papers from the dealer or the workshop whenever you give your car for servicing. In this way, you will have a note that what exact servicing has been done in your car.

Bill for the replacement: Whenever you replace any auto part in your car, always ask the bill of the auto part if purchased by them. If you are purchasing an auto part from outside, same rule applies. Always match the price of servicing and the amount of replaced auto part. The difference shows the servicing and labor cost. So this way, you can analyze what cost are they putting you, and if its more or less than the market price.

Confirm from others: Before you agree on the replacement of any auto part which is costing bit expensive, try to ask other experts as well and try to know the exact price of replacement from other auto shops as well.

Trusted workshop: Before you switch to any local workshop, always go for some shop which is recommended by someone. Don’t just take your car to any of the garage. Its really important to know the workshop and the person owning it to avoid any kind of fraud.

Test drive with the expert: When you get your car back from the dealer or workshop after a heavy repair or replacement, please go for a ride with the dealer itself. So that if you face any issue you can tell that person there and then. Don’t wait to tell them if you are not happy with the service. Right away is the best solution.

  4. The engine splash shield is located under the car actually. To replace the engine splash shield, you have to go under the car. Now before going under the car make sure the new engine splash shield that you buy is specified for your model. If you don’t know the specification, you can check it in the car manual or ask your dealer.

Now, first step is to jack your car. You need to raise the level of your car from ground. To do that, you have to use the jack and the jack stand. Please don’t go under the engine if your car I supported by jack only. It may harm you badly because the jack sometimes is not adjusted properly and the car may hit back to the ground level. I remember when my friend was under the car when the car was only raised by the jack. The jack slipped and the car hit him directly. This was lucky of him that there were people around who somehow managed to push the car higher so that he can come out. So please take care of such things, you don’t want to lose your life.

After doing that, go under the car and locate the engine splash shield. Now locate those shields which are holding the splash and they look damaged to you. If you want to replace the complete cover you have to unscrew all the shields and remove the complete cover. Also, while doing that you can check for engine mounting as well.

Now, replace the shield with a new one. Now if you want to check if the shield is properly installed or not, it’s better for you to go on road test that will help you knowing it. Also make sure that you go upon speed breakers as well to check for the level.

  5. Well you can do that just using the sand paper. It’s easy and cheap. All you need to do is disconnect the headlight assembly and pull out the headlight. Rub the headlight inside out using a sand paper. Keep it for a while, and wash it with clean soap and dry it using cotton free cloth. Just look at the difference after washing it, your headlights will be shiny as new! Trust me, I tried that.

  6. Oh ok. Gray smoke from exhaustion means there is an issue with fuel injection. The air filter in your car may have got clogged. Also sometimes it’s because of the oil leakage in exhaust system also. I suppose you better hurry up to the workshop incase its serious.

  7. The Full tank capacity of Honda City in 42 Litres. But on board computer calculate the capacity from distance to zero which does not include the reserve fuel. The fuel in reserve s almost 7-8L which is not included in the reading of on-road systems. So don't worry, the fuel tank capacity is 42 L only.

  8. Honda Jazz is a very nice car. I have Honda Jazz from past 3 years and till now I didn't experience any problem in my car. Honda manufactures their car with perfection and thus the car doesn't face problem at least for 3-4 years. And the parts are easily available. Once you buy the Honda Jazz, just make sure that you give your car for servicing to Honda only otherwise you may loose your warranty. I think Honda Jazz is a good choice for you Mother!!

  9. This happened last week as I notice the car vibrates when I step up the acceleration. The car wan't handling well. I called the Honda Rashidiya Service Centre and they said it may be due wheel balance and alignment and asked me to visit them and get it fixed. This became an constant issue and the sound of engine wasn't sweet too. I called up another mechanic and drove the car for some distance, and told me that it is nothing but an axle problem. Rarely it happens in a Honda car that too civic. There are 'slack' on both side of the axles, and he left side was in bad shape, and also the grease was leaking on that side. This was check and now its perfect no issues. Sometimes we never know what the real problem is, a lot depend on our luck too.
