Hi Sharky I am in Hospital till Sunday so will miss campout funny enough have discussing with Gordon and others about setting up a meeting at AAA to go over suspension mods for LR3 and LR4 owners plus other offroad mods as LR3's are becoming more affordable more and more people are considering them for off road on the suspension mods I have just brought in a new UK engineered set rods for trials they are simple and ideal for those who want to use their LR3 as a daily drive 5 min to change from mod to standard Sharky I have used suspension mods on both LR3's and LR4's to willing to share my findings with you next time we meet up forum members let me know if anyone is interested in the above, also having Sharky as a forum member is great news Tomb

Both my 110 and my 90 lifts done by AAA. Depends what sort of ride and settings you desire got OME on the 90 and terra twin on the 110 Take it to AAA and they can give you some advice and costings

Running cost depends on your view? All Defender owners needs to be ready to spend if you want to enjoy the pleasure of driving a piece of history ! Oh make sure it has a full service history !! And it helps to have a mechanic as a good friend

Kim, Let me now when you want to have a short trip out and I will bring the LR3,I have a brand new spare set of J-rods if yours don't turn up soon! Watch for rubbing o the canisters I have stayed with the 19" Rims and gone for New General ATs - big improvements! Suggest 25MM spacers also. Get the rims powder coated as painting just rubs off after some time Offroad. Kim..........Be warned once you start on the mod trail it never ends! I've been at it for over (2) years still not done !

Hope this helps You can add a suspension rod modifcation which has a number of benefits and can be left on or removed when not off road or at service initials? I have used several different types of roads over the years and I am now considering the LAMs electronic version Johnson rods are probally the cheapest option: enables you to stay in Offroad mode without the system lowering at 40km also enables you to fit bigger Offroad tyres Etc fitted in about 10 min and removed in the same time?
