Thats because like u said its US spec. You can change the whole unit or buy used one of older model from. There must be so many guys upgrading the head DIN and selling the original stock. Search those guys in scrap or used part shops.

when getting the car to the service did you have any problems in the car before that? problems in starting the car or anything like that

Have you checked the sensors if they are working good.

use WD40 and try again. the hood got jammed once and this worked.

same happened with me the fuel pump stopped working.

it depends on if it is installed aftermarket or company installed.

Where is the EGR located in my 1997 infinity? looked it on the engine but cant find it. Thanks
