We are proud to announce our first “Kia Drive” on Friday 23 November 2012. This drive will be a good start to meet other Kia drivers and share the brand enthusiasm. With mix reaction over type of drive our members suggests, we have decided to leave this to the majority of participant’s votes. So please select the type of drive that you like: “Dubai Parade” or “Long drive”. Dubai Parade style can be started off around afternoon (after Friday prayer) at a centralized location in Dubai and the entire convoy will circle key places in Dubai (SZR, Jumeirah, Karama, Bur dubai, Deira etc.) Long drive can be started off from morning by 9.00 – 10.00 am, we can head to Al Ain (Jabal Hafeet) or Hatta side, have the Friday prayer and lunch together and drive back to Dubai before 5-6 pm. Please note, that this Kia drive is sole initiative and supported by Kia Dubai Online Community members and not supported by Kia Dealers in Dubai. It was a good mini meet and brainstorming session with like minded to share the Kia brand enthusiasm. Following points have been discussed and decided (still open for choices and majority votes). 1) Choice of drive to be given as a "Dubai parade style" or "Long drive" to Al ain, Hatta or Abu Dhabi? 2) Kia Dubai stickers will be made to spread the brand enthusiasm and share with other Kia owners here. 3) Should we be contacting Kia Motors for support in organizing this drive or not? (As they have no role/support in this Kia community yet). Based on above inputs, we can post the drive without announcing any date, and send the mail invites to all Kia Dubai members to judge the participation level and then announce the drive on specific date accepted by majority members. Feel free to add any points above to make first Kia Drive more successful. Thanks.

For buying new / used rims you can try the tire market after sahara mall in shj. They keep real good variety to choose from. And more than 20 shops in one line.

Hey Ali, Whats ur availability for next week onwards. As two days notice for a first drive is very close. As we are announcing to all members, so we should plan it nicely. However, we can meet this weekend for tea/coffee and discuss this further. How about Mirdiff city center this fri at 6pm? Gaurav

Hi Guys, Nice to see the good response over Kia Drive. It will be good to inform others for drive and increase the participation. Lets decide the date, time and place (common to all) and post the drive and then we can announce to all members. If you like we can post a drive once you all decide the date. Hope we can also make it, so that we can put some faces to the active members.

Saturday is only 3 days away and its a short notice. why dont we push to next week so that we are prepared and we can have a bigger group.

Mashallah, Please give atleast week or two week notice, so that we can have good size Kia owners get together in Dubai. That will be very nice.

they have hired very good designer i guess who are doing very good job. Kia is most affordable car i have owned. even the fuel consumption is very low.

only if your battery is weak then dont initiate jump starting a dead battery or else it will kill your battery completely.

this procedure will be done only by a tire company.

Should be kia get together and drive in Dubai, my suggestion.

Lets meet guys, please make kia drive than Koup drive as i dont have koup but def like to hang out with Kia owners. This place is getting more and more active, that means more kia owners are getting around. Good start guys.
