  1. I would prefer owner, as i am sure that nothing is hidden unlike the case of second hand car dealers. They are the ones who do cheap repair to cover the fault and polish car look like new and under that comes with lot of secret surprises within month of ownership. I myself have been bitten once with those aweer guys and wouldn't recommend them to anyone again. I heard that they also reverse the odometer reading to fetch better sales price. This should be criminal activity like in US to Fidel with car odometer reading, as imagine if car shows 60k km and person takes it to long drive thinking its less kms and car can take that much strain, and car break down in remote land as it was 300k kms which has been reversed. Really bad.

  2. There you go another one start the fb invites.

ADlR3: That noise on fan is the viscose clutch noise, thats pretty normal. Its function is to spin at engine RPM speed if engine tends to go above the normal operating temperature. And once its back then viscose fan spins at half of rpm speed due to in built resistance from viscose clucth.

Howver for little shaking it could be that spark plug firing order must have got messed up if anyone have opened that and not fix the leads in right place. Double check the spark plug firing order from your owners or service manual if you have.

Btw good to hear that you starting developing the love of LR again, keep it up and enjoy.

  3. Mr. Teddy. Good guess. But i know what rangerover is talking about.

In Range Rover whenever you start car, whether you are sitting on driver seat or standing outside with door open it gives 10 chimes for reminding you to fasten seat belt. After those 10 chime it doesnt make any noise whether you remove belt at any speed......!

  4. Pirelli and Michelin are the bestest tire, if you can get same as ur size.

After fitting new tires, you dont need alignment but need balancing for all 4 tires for sure. Wheel balancing usually done by the guys who install the tires anyways, so make sure if they arent very professional then just buy tires and go to Dunlop shop in karama just opp strand cinema (where it was). You will see big yellow board of dunlop from road, just before you hit splash. Its actual dealer shop of dunlop: Eisa saleh al gurg. Very professional boys and very good service in Dubai.

  5. You left with two option Ruth.

Option1: Fight with those moron's and let them pay for the new or used but uncracked dashboard for your car.

    Option2: You pay yourself.

Accept it that plastic once cracked and broken will be not be repaired and you have to replace it for sure, so moving forward you need to accept it who will pay for it. If i am in your place i will definetly make them pay or call the police and make a BIG BIG scene in their workshop to scare few other customers and write my experience in 10000000 of online forums until they actually fix my dashboard.

Three years back i had something similar with VERY reputed car dealer here and soon after my all the online activity, there SZR service center manager called me and apologies and fix my problem and offered discount on next service too. Unfortunately customer service is little low in this place so you got to fight for your right. So dont be shy, its your car and its your money.
