  1. Hi Manoj, we restrict to maximum 12 number of cars for safety reasons. You can request your friend to add his name here as waitlist, so if someone drops out he will be added immediately. We usually have few drop offs on Thursday. If not he can always sign up on Sunday for the next Friday Absolute Newbie drive.
  2. Hello everyone, I will be taking up this drive but I promise to keep the same surprise So far waitlist as follows: @Sara EL FANIDI @Joseph Sebastian @Sanjay Malik @GratefulKRD
  3. For safer off-roading, we request every off-roader to follow these mandatory safety requirements. Failing to abide by these mandatory safety requirements = NOT ALLOWED TO DRIVE. Your safety is our top priority but ultimately it is YOUR responsibility. Seat Belt: is the most important safety feature in every car. It is illegal not to wear and is of paramount importance when off-roading. Seat belts constantly protect you from bumps and jumps during the drive. Everyone in your car should be wearing a seat belt at all times - without any exception, excuse or reasoning. Driver, passengers, guests, family, friends, kids everyone should wear a seat belt at all times. It's the driver's ultimate responsibility to make sure everyone is wearing a seat belt at all times. Failing to abide - even once - you will be banned forever from Carnity off-road club. All children should be sitting on age-specific child/kids/booster seats with the seat belt fastened. Nobody should lean outside the windows or sunroof from a moving vehicle for any reason. You can only accommodate maximum passengers, as much as the seat belts available in your vehicle. If you walk across to help to recover a car and then jump in another offroader car for reaching back to your car, please wear a seat belt even if your car is one dune away. If your car breaks down or is stuck and you join another offroader car, please wear a seatbelt at all times. Secure loose objects: Everything should be strapped and secured in your vehicle before you start the off-road drive. All off-road gear- Shovel, Jack, Board, Compressor, Fire extinguishers etc. should be either fully strapped with strong tie-down ratchet (no bungee cords and no spider net) or a boot partition should be installed with molle panels, dog guard, boot divider mesh or flexible straps. This is to prevent any off-road gear from freely moving in the cabin space and potentially causing a fatal injury during off-road bumps or any unforeseen accident. No camping gear, chairs, boxes or wood should be kept loose in your car boot. Clear Visibility and Focus: While off-roading, driver should have clear visibility and focus. Anything that blocks the clear visibility should be removed immediately from your car e.g. excessive front wind-shield tinting, loose sun-visor, etc. You should immediately stop driving off-road during sandstorms, foggy conditions, or any other natural conditions that hamper visibility to continue. Check and/or replace your wiper blades every month, as rubber degrades with time and if your wiper is not cleaning the windshield properly it may block your visibility. All distractions from passengers, music, phone calls, etc. should be avoided while off-roading.

  6. Hi Vaibhav, welcome to Carnity offroad club. Based on your first absolute newbie you can self declare your experience and transfer your offroad experience based on below procedure.
  7. Sweihan is hardly 15 mins extra than Dubai or Sharjah meeting points. Wondering what you will do for liwa, wagan, butais.....! 2-3 hour of tarmac drive.
  8. Beautiful description of your off-road journey you've shared @Lorenzo Candelpergher for others to learn, excite and motivate. Very nicely crafted with chronological challenges, incidents, experiences and learnings that really highlight it's all about the journey and your perseverance when you really want to achieve something in life, work, relations or in off-roading. I must admit here, that in the last session of leaders lead I was expecting quite a lot of stuck from that Y62 in such a nasty technical terrain. And the way you've managed it really surprised me that it's not only you crossed without any stuck, but you also made sure that the entire convoy made thru without any stuck under your lead. And that's what really differentiates "True Leader" from just a good off-roader.

  16. Congratulations @Lorenzo Candelpergher for reaching the Marshal level with Carnity Offroad Club. Lorenzo has Joined Carnity early last year with a brand new Nissan Patrol Y62 and with loads of passion and excitement to conquer sand dunes. With bare minimum underbody mods, he managed to learn the entire off-roading from newbie to expert level in that Y62. With his complete dedication and hard work, he has become one of the best offroader to manage a heavy 4x4 through all the terrains in UAE. Later on, he bought the Rubicon for desert use and reserved Y62 for the family. His extreme passion for sand driving, leading and supporting off-road drives made him rise through the ranks to become an integral part of Carnity Family. His contribution and intelligent support behind the drives, planning and great teamwork were always been highly appreciated. MARSHAL is one of the most prestigious and sought-after titles that comes after a lot of hard work, patience, tolerance, and dedication. 19. Amazing response @Islam Soliman to share all your memories, feeling and emotional connection you share with everyone in Carnity Family. I am sure all these must be regular stuff for many of us, but when we hear them out loud like this, it means a lot. You are truly blessed with good memory and power to express them in a very nice and positive way.
  20. Congratulations @Islam Soliman for reaching the Marshal level with Carnity Offroad Club. Islam has Joined Carnity a year back with a very high spirit and calm approach with his GMC Yukon. With regular off-road drives and exceptional enthusiasm toward off-roading he soon found his peace in his newly discovered passion. 21. Thanks everyone for wonderful drive today, we were really blessed with a great convoy strength and cars to really had such an amazing drive with bare minimum interruptions or delays. Apologies for not reaching, showing and highlighting the Pac-Man as that area is now being fenced with a dual layer of fencing. Internal (immediately next to pac-man, visible on sat maps) and external (not spotted on sat map, yet) that spans across 40-50 km. I believe its a new fence laid by Marmum dairy to protect the soil of crop/grass circle (animal feed) or plan to put more grass circles around. I hope people who have exited towards Sweihan side must have seen Marmum dairy on left hand side of Tarmac and just after that dairy there is two HUGE green patch of grass in circle shape is the Pac-Man area. Anyways, plan B always work in such situations and why wouldn't when we are in AD, where dunes are so welcoming that any plan will seem good plan in those amazing, clean, tall dunes. Everyone kept a good pace and rhythm to cover almost 50 kms in 3 hours in such amazing virgin dunes and we all managed to explore a wonderful new area for future drives - greater good. @Warren Flay you were absolutely amazing in second lead and while reading your above comment I was laughing that many will value the churned up sand, cross track, struggle and fight more than second lead. Its good to have all-round experience and Im glad you've enjoyed the newly tested SL position. Thanks for being very responsible second lead today. @S Jacob as I havent heard anything from you during the whole drive means you were simply amazing too and had a good time. @John Vanderbleek heartiest congratulations on seeing AD yummiest dunes on your very first fewbie drive. Although at few places it was tad above fewbie level, but you did great. That's how slowly and gently we keep pushing the level to test the drivers ability, sometimes I do it on purpose but today was totally situational. Very minor refusal you had that's part and parcel of this game and you shouldn't worry at all about them. You have a wonderful FJC, keep enjoying the drive, nature and your car. @Damien Ranjit you've taken this shape Pathfinder to great heights and I have seen your amazing drive at Iftar bowl too few weeks back. You just need to practice on self-recovery skills as controlling the gas pedal when you are stuck is the biggest job that will get you out faster. Secondly while someone is preparing for a tug, you ALWAYS need to make sure that you are in right gearing. You could've blown your transmission today while in D when Aisha was recovering you from the back. @munkybizness Mr. Yokohama supporter driving Geo's today as I haven't heard any refusal or stuck means you've been in complete sync with your beast (I mean Patrol). Nice to see your father on drive today, who is as cool as you when it comes to such sporting activity. @Christian Andras it was so good to see you today, after a very long time and that too with your boys to help you deflate, put-up flag and recover. Perfect father-son bonding activity. Hope they have enjoyed today and feeling fine after hitting the tarmac. You've been an amazing center support today considering that we are so tight in the morning. And my apology once again to not to give your rope chance to pull me, after so hard maneuver you did to position yourself. Now you believe too that my Pajero has soul, lolol. I rem something very similar happened last year with @Tbone. I was crested with all 3 wheels spinning, he positioned himself for recovery and soon before he can pull, rear diff-lock did some magic and I was out without a tug. @ShereenMK I see you enjoying LC100 it reminds me of my days when I had the same car. Difference was I never manage to learn how to drive off-road properly on that car and you've manage to do that and lot more perfectly. Hope your LC was smiling today that even after you challenge her to get stuck, she didn't gave you any chance and you manage the whole drive with zero stuck. Well done. @Santoso Marjuki it's been third drive so far with me and you are getting better after every drive, except the lesson - to not to fight the gravity. Maybe in your next drive you pay close attention to all other drivers doing the sidey, long slopes etc. before you to see how they manage their vehicle after the U-Turn or when momentum fades off - Steer down, steer down, steer down without a question and irrespective if you have 200 hp or 300 hp car. As a law of physics no one can fight gravity without momentum, so when gravity pulls you down, instead of fighting, we simply surrender and point our car nose down towards the gravity and come down slowly. You have a beautiful car and you know how to off-road safely, so just work on this issue with greater presence of mind, focus and attention to detail. @Josh T. its always pleasure to see you on any drive. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your attitude and mindset toward offroading is to enjoy the nature, drive and meet new people - way to go. I keep on telling everyone that instead of racing through the number of drives to seek quick promotion ENJOY THE JOURNEY. And that's what I always see with your positive attitude and approach. Thanks for welcoming Dubai members to Abu Dhabi and enjoying the drive as one big family beyond any borders @Aisha S its the first we drove together and I must say I was impressed with your driving, confidence and steering control on tall climbs. You've been fantastic today with all the banter and keeping an entertaining company. Enjoy your next 3 drives. @Arman Thanks for wonderful sweep duties today, hope you have enjoyed the cross tracks and struggle more and it offered you a good breather from your regular convoy position. As always you've been fantastic and good support buddy. Have a nice weekend, see you all soon again.
