If fire extinguisher dial showing needle is in green mark (usually center upright), no need to refill as they don't expire until 3 to 5 or even 10 years easily. Expiration sticker is placed to visually see that dial and make sure that needle is in green mark. If needle is not on green mark and drop to either side (left or right) in red zone, it's highly advisable to buy another one. I refilled twice from good company in aweer and both times, they failed (lost pressure) within a month time. It could have been catastrophic If I would have needed it. As an offroader, everyone need to make sure to keep checking that dial every month, at least.

At the moment it's a tedious task to visit each calendar and check your RSVP. In future, we are working on an easier way to have all drives under one tab.

OFF ROAD JACK EXTENSION from Pro Eagle seems even better solution.
-
You can use any floor jack with extra wooden plank, as mentioned above OR buy additional few inches of rubber or metal adapter to suit your lift.
-
You can try other similar brand as far as they look and feel sturdy and heavy enough, then 2 ton jack is fine. Stay away from the flimsy ones. JZX jack is out of stock from sometime now, I guess due to logistics lag after covid lockdown. It's totally understandable.

Every off-roader must know: What Went Wrong?
Gaurav replied to Rahimdad's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
Of course that goes without saying and that is the number 1 point to consider. However in FJC video, guy seems very well experienced in choosing right and safe line to enter and floor the pedal at right time, continue the climb beautifully and in end bitten by a total misfortune due to technical failure or over-modifications (god knows). -

Very good observation and question. All these extreme failure happen (stalling engine, catching fire, etc.) when driver start modifying too much with car engine and/or engine management system (re-tune, supercharge, turbo etc.) without testing the stuff properly with an aim to get 400 hp from 200 hp motor. At 00:18 seconds you can hear the rev limiter and by no means it sounds or climb like a stock FJC on a slipface. Majority failure happen due to extreme modifications and that's why RTA and Insurance company wont support cars with mods. And second group of failure (minor though) with lack of schedule maintenance. -

Very good point Alex, I think that coordinating guy raised his hand to stop maybe late or red wrangler just wanted sand shower when his cross tires are completely free. Rear diff-lock might have said the situation a bit. -
Subwoofer options for an FJ Cruiser
Gaurav replied to Niki's topic in Toyota FJ Cruiser Forum in UAE
Also get the good quality oxygen free cable before doing the final setup and connect all speakers and sub directly to Amp. As many road side audio guys run back speakers with Amp and front with head unit.- 34 replies

For seeing in front of your car radio isn't needed. He could have simply left gas. Either red car is an Absolute Newbie or in stage of denial thinking that 6000 hp wrangler can come out of its own.- 524 replies

Perfect explanation by Sri and Fredy. Small addon of ground reality: all drive mostly get filled on sunday with tons of waitlist, but on thursday "almost" everyone has a drive. Reason being a lot of drop out happen during the week especially on Wednesday and Thursday, so even if anyone miss the Sunday 7PM, list your name in waitlist as soon as possible.

I'm not sure about Jeep but I only had a diff tube braces on my Patrol, as that was the weakest part of nissan patrol in those year model. Usually people reinforce axle and differentials when they are into extreme offroad jumps or serious mountain climbing. If they are reasonable size and not making ground clearance any lower, I dont see any drawback tbh. Which year wrangler you have?

This is very common issue in JL and we have seen this many times in the club. Goutam and Pancho sacrificed there in Liwa. If metal bumper has no issue with RTA then go for that as 500 extra now is better than breaking fiber one again or modifying fiber bumper with plate beneath. Make sure new metal bumper comes with rubber bumpstop then RTA will pass it even if its little different.

TPMS (remove or ignore) & ABS kill switch
Gaurav replied to Niki's topic in Toyota FJ Cruiser Forum in UAE
Congrats on finally getting the offroad tires and double congrats on fetching 1K for grandtreks. With geolander you will never have a pop out EVER AGAIN, so if you like to install TPMS then you can/should. I popped mine twice in 8 years and both time it was accidental high speed jump that landed one tire on the bush.- 20 replies

Subwoofer options for an FJ Cruiser
Gaurav replied to Niki's topic in Toyota FJ Cruiser Forum in UAE
Sorry for being late to the music party. I totally agree with @Heisem on getting 4 or 5 channel Amp and that too good quality one, will make all the difference. Here is my build I got it done in 2 tranches - without sub due to limited space, but choice of AMP made a nice big difference with 650 Watt Pioneer speakers Front Door: Pioneer TS-A1686S - 350W - 60W RMS Front Dash: Pioneer TS-S20 - 200W - Tweeter Back Seat: Pioneer TS-A6996S - 650W - 100W RMS Pioneer GM-D9605 - 2000W - Class D 5-Channel Amplifier with Wired Bass Boost Also research on Amplifier specification properly so you know it can support existing setup or scale up in future. https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Amplifiers/GM+Digital+Series/GM-D9605- 34 replies
