I used twin spot suction bracket for 2 years in my land cruiser and even drove at 120 on highway by mistake and it was still holding fine. @Frederic can advise for narrow frequency.

(446.00625 Mhz). The instructions to program the radio are provided in the below post 6) All traction controls, ABS and Air bags need to be switched off. If it requires pulling the fuse, please do the needful. In case of any queries you can always ask the senior members. 7) Deflate to 15 psi. In case if you have any difficulties you can approach the senior members who would assist you. 8) Feel free to ask questions on the radio or announce if you have a problem. We shall be starting the drive from Mahafiz, and enter the desert through some nice easy tracks and dunes so that you can get familiar with your vehicle. As the convoy's confidence increases I shall be gradually increasing the level of the drive keeping in mind everyone's comfort level. We will be driving for about 3 hours, practice driving in sand, proper steering control, crossing some dunes, and getting you and your vehicle accustomed to off-roading in general. By 08:30 we will be heading out, where you can inflate the tyres with your compressor or we will reach an ADNOC fuel station for inflation. See you on the sand tomorrow.

Any car section of ACE, Speedex, carrefour, dragon mart or even roadside tire shop sells deflator and gauge.

Unless its like the case of my Pajero, whenever mechanic misbehave and ill-treat her she never starts. NO MATTER WHAT until mechanic apologies and start being nice to her. Hope your TJ isnt so touchy and emotional, ask mechanic to backtrack with peaceful mind and he will find a wire, switch or connection that he unplugged somewhere to cause this issue.

If you can buy the radio, flag and shovel, fantastic as its a must requirement for all off-road drives, if cannot for the first drive (borderline exempted) you HAVE TO buy for the second drive onward for sure.

Sure you can go ahead and RSVP now, ill prepare the list in few hours. Renault Duster are acceptable too for the newbie level drives.

And what do mechanic say now, when Jeep is not starting after the radiator and thermostat change? Hope this mechanic is good enough to replace radiator (no rocket science) and thermostat (piece of cake).

Totally agree with @Frederic, being an absolute newbie, you can join any newbie or absolute newbie drive available as per your convenience. We dont see how badly or nicely it has been recovered in the video. If it was recovered by a rope attach to wrangler as seen few minutes before, then that wrangler must have coughed out lungs to turn this rhino, resulting in 5-10 failed attempt resulting in damaging the whole body. Flips are better with winch, if with rope then two cars and two ropes atleast, 3 is blessing.

Hi @Sreejith Sreenivasan welcome to Carnity off-road club. LR2 (some models) are really good for offroad being small and powerful. Which year model and spec LR2 you have? I6 or I4? Also please share the front and back tow point pictures, as some LR2 didn't had proper rear tow hooks.

Absolute Newbie drive does exactly same as newbie, but at much slower and easier track. If you were fine with newbie drive, then you will enjoy more with newbie level than with Absolute Newbie. We don't have any restriction for this, but recently added these drives to increase the comfort for first timer.

Only if you can shed light to 100% prove whether clutch is culprit or not? Not that newspaper test or hand movement test, as its one way test, to test its running at half RPM. I mean how will you make sure its engaging at right thermal point as designed 15 years back and not half an hour later?

Thanks for wonderful and detailed trip report @Veedooshee. You and @VipinShetty really surprised me yesterday as being two new newbies with relatively heavier car failed to get crested in the whole drive, where I was waiting for an excuse to teach Matti and Colin. Of course @Carlos Fernandez being slightly older newbie and with SWB wrangler has no chance of stuck if you two in front are doing so good in flattening all the crest. Luckily and thankfully you gave all of us that one moment to train and then plenty more to revise it properly, lol. Everyone drove very nice and hope everyone enjoyed the lead too with a tiny twist of night drive. Thanks @Gregory Perkin for the responsible second lead. Thanks @Nacho and @E.C. TAN for amazing sweep and keep on updating me of the drive progress. Thanks @Colin Jordan for center forward, you had a very nice questions on tow rope recovery and that's how one should reason out things while learning to understand fully. Your tow rope and shackles are good, let's start putting them to good use now. Thanks @Matti Brockman for second center forward and plenty of digging and tugging support, please sort your shackles as your rope is perfect. And keep using them more often to advance your learning.

Well done @Ale Vallecchi you finally got the award of "Boring Drives" without any stuck and tow rope. It should probably be the highest award for any trip lead, but we don't recognize that as we love getting stuck to learn new stuff, lolololol. Really well done Ale, for perfect planning and leading the whole convoy with good pace, excitement and safety. @J J you are fantastic in giving rightful tribute to Ale with Ale Ale Ale Ale song in your drive video. Very creative.

I have even gone to the extent of doing a decibel test before and after and it hardly made any noise difference.
