2003 Pathfinder is a very good choice. Go for 3.5 that is more capable than 3.3 as you intend to use it in sand, so the more power is highly recommended. @Fuad I think has 3.5, please comment on pricing if you think this 9K for 140k driven seems fine. As per 17 years old age 140k is quiet a low mileage (if its real and not reversed). Check it properly. Hi Andy, all 4 drives were full in first 3 hours of posting on Sunday. From there we were just doing + - of people coming in and drop out, which was not much tbh. I'm afraid all drives are full at the moment, please try to sign in faster next time. However, leave a note in any drive you wish to join, in case we have last minute drop out before 6 pm today, then trip lead will add you and notify you.

Whenever you join the next newbie drive, do make sure to inform the trip lead about your 11 drive self declaration, so that he can gauge your driving skills and promote you to the fewbie level after that drive.

Jeep's are jeep and there is no second doubt that they will eventually break and have their own set of reliability issues whichever year you go to. With my little knowledge of Jeep, as i'm not a jeeper JK make more sense because of immense power gain and marginal better approach and departure angle plus newer engineering is always efficient. These all three are super important aspect for offroading. TJ - 190 hp vs JK - 285 hp. Btw, just to be clear what type offroading you are into or planning to get into? I'm sorry @Zed with such a looooooooong travel suspension even Toyota Corolla can do this. There is nothing to do with Jeep, Patrol, LC band wagon dance here. They are often used as a shell. Period. Last week we spotted wrangler climbing insane behind fossil rock and when same climb @Colin Jordan tried he could make 20-25% hardly. Because previous wrangler must be running LS engine (corvette) with twin turbos to defy gravity and physics so effortlessly. And he must have spend twice the cost of the shell wrangler to build such extreme modified climber. What you is NOT what you get here (WYSIWYG).

Truly depends on what you want in a long run. Option 1: If this damage is just one-off mistake and damaged just bracket clips, then get it fixed and continue using your Y62. Option 2: Switch to proper offroader, be it Wrangler, FJC, Xterra, Patrol Y61 etc. if you plan to scale up this off-road hobby above fewbie level in the future.
