  1. Beautiful day to drive and awesome capture with great editing skills. Well done buddy.
  2. @adildbx welcome for drive tomorrow, please share your offroad experience and which 4x4 you drive? Please make sure your 4x4 have front and back tow hook, very imp.
  3. I agree, guy was just busy pushing the gas pedal and looking 2 meter ahead only. My actual concern is who will winch these two guys now and how many calories workout is needed? It's a @Frederic and @Shamil style "joint-stuck" together.
  4. Thank Sri, I have to do few times to accept risk as Kaspersky was really scared, but in end, it work. @Barry its more of motorsport for race cars etc, and we tried these few times making an announcement here, but in end I and Rahim bhai went alone. Second time for Baja, I went alone, Third was Automechanika, no one showed up. So here I feel that majority of Carnity audience is just a paper tiger, either they come when they have car problem and then go away even without saying thanx OR same drive off-road from Friday to Friday "Only". Words like Enthusiasm, Passion, Learning, Exploring, just come and go like a soap bubble.
  5. OMG, Such a horrible sticker work on a legend to make it look like a clown, too bad of taste / brand promo technique. Really dumb and abusive for real car enthusiast. Thank god I have not seen this. @Jas Gajaria and @Frederic my Pajero EVO dream is over since I realized that we can't register RHD here "no matter what". @DiamondDallas driving an EVO shell is something I never wanted it. In 2012 I explored the possibility of importing one Pajero EVO and swapping my engine and other capable bits for 45K budget, but then scrapped the idea because of non availability of EVO spare parts here. Can't wait for months for parts sourcing or producing here locally. Once I retire my Pajero, then I might pursue that all over again just for keepsake.
  6. Yes, it's right. I buy 170 from Shj or 185 from Aweer for Mobil 1 - "0W-40" Advanced Fully Synthetic Motor Oil.
  7. As weather is changing, so just today morning I was asking my wife to join, depending on my son cough/cold recovery they might join.
  8. Latest update: I have ordered the Rustoleum clear coat can and a touch up pen for fixing the last 10%. Touch up pen was too dark, as I tested on one deep scratch and stopped. Clear coat backfired badly, although I have researched and watch tons of video on how to use it properly but still I failed. Spray Can was delivering the mist and big load randomly and dripping all over the hood. Hours later my hood ended up looking like a faded paint to have uneven patches of clear coat all around. Tried fixing that with scratch out polish and grinder, no benefit and after a while I give up as the damage was way beyond DIY scope. Btw according to web review people love rustoleum product and company claims that you can use their new technology can in any angle (even upside down) for consistent finish Lesson learn: I should have tested the spray can on wooden or metal piece first and let it dry to notice that uneven delivery and dripping problem to return the defective can. Yesterday I dropped the car to paint shop in Aweer for full repaint of the hood, hopefully I will get it by tomorrow.
  9. I might recommend a garage in ras al khor tomo, as I'm getting my car hood repainted. It's not a known garage to me, but I have used once for insurance claim and if this time their result is positive, I will let u know.
  10. Al Wagan Al Qua Umm al Oush Liwa Hameem Sweihan Yahar Basically all area close to @Asif Hussain heart, offers a great pitch dark sky at night. Season is on now, so soon will do long drives ending with bbq and chilling under night sky. Let's help @Srikumar decide the club name. Sri photography club Jeep photography club Sleeping beauty..................... Should I go more further with all the feathers......?
  11. For any suspension upgrade or repair, you need to decide and share on this basic question first: Only for off-road Only for Tarmac Mix usage - daily driver + weekend off-road
  12. @Barry @shadow79 @treks what do you think of PCV in the above video....? Could be a culprit....?
  13. Here are my observations: He clearly didn't follow the path on extreme right and thought of taking shortcut. OR he followed the path but due to slow speed he slide down on soft patch. Ideally at that point, he should have come down slowly to make another attempt without fighting gravity. Due to slip face, its difficult for him to climb and still he fought the slip face with lack of momentum. Lack of experience, made him think he can climb up and steer sharp left on such short space. In end while reversing out of such situation, steering should be straight and come down slowly.

So true, one thing lead to another always.
  15. I have been carrying my Nikon D750 camera with lens for all extreme drives. If you have good case, and you secure it right then it won't move or damage anything. Not sure about telescope and their bags advancement.
  16. Come to offroad drives @Barry only if our dear friend @Srikumar can think of a name for his photography club to be formed in Carnity since few light years. May be we can help him here for name suggestion that can combine offroad+photography, so that aspiring photographer with camera's can have an hour or two break or late exit for pursuing this night photography, nature, stunts, portraits, selfies etc.
  17. I'll leave the actual what went wrong for others, but cameramen car could have given some stern warning or advise him to stop after the first incident, to avoid the second close call. Clearly shows that Silver Pajero maneuvering with tarmac estimates and had no clue how sand and dunes especially behaves. Shouting in car is of no use, maybe they are without walkie talkie to relay such critical communication. Looking forward to hear from our latest newbies.
  18. Father and son built an Aventador by 3D printing for almost $20K (73K AED). Truly IMPRESSIVE work of art, science, passion, love and dedication. How dumb a presenter to suggest a Toyota as a project than Lamborghini, Im sure 11 year old would have answered this nicely. 3 months old video @tjsingh your son is not alone for Aventador love. Now you can have another new hobby too. I was pretty impressed with your son's idea - to sell all your car to get 1 Aventador, smart kid.
