Bushes and brakes replacement
Gaurav replied to GumbyAKhan's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
Not a good sign and not worth prolonging at all, also change shocks in pair - both sides. -
It is available on some selected tires and there sizes. There is no fix shop for such case. Like last time @Srikumar went to buy Geolander and ended with white lettering one. Find a tire size and the research on which size the while lettering comes and then find that size.

Clunk 'tok' sound during acceleration
Gaurav replied to Keithryan's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
Sorry to say but just don't be too happy with Furure tyres even, as they getting good reviews they started hiking price with tremendous decrease in service. Last time I went there, waited for 1 hour for 15 min job and presented with 4X pricing. And that place has become total chaos now to get one small job done. Is that Ayub, is he back in business...? -

Clunk 'tok' sound during acceleration
Gaurav replied to Keithryan's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
Good if you are happy and convinced. I have received 3K quote for cyl. missing with a 250 diagnostic cost from 30 year "SPECIALIST" car clinic in Dubai. Will you provide a guarantee - NO = Run away. I'm not saying all are greedy, most are and others are simply stupid, non technical, careless, lazy, ignorant, too busy and list can go endless to spoil our hard earned money in the end with a sorry or blank face with a shoulder shrug. -
Then get the petrol and brake fluid on Friday and show me how to do it, lol

With inside the car temp in afternoon hitting close to 60-70 degrees, do we really need a heatgun, but I need to dare myself for sauna in July.

And this time 30 minutes means 30 minutes in advance, if he is late then we cant do the briefing holding everyone else and he might have to come back next week. Remember @Roshan Abraham briefing held all 6 cars, not good for people who were on time. -
Should I use the Gillette shaving foam as well?

Clunk 'tok' sound during acceleration
Gaurav replied to Keithryan's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
OUCH. Haven't you asked for a guarantee if their suggested repair will fix the tok sound...? That's my first question to run away from 80% fake or greedy mechanics here. -
I went to Promate site to find this product and spotted that this comes with 24 months warranty. Sent a message with receipt and got a call back in 30 mins that we will replace it after receiving the failed product. Very impressive with there customer service, will keep everyone posted on the progress. Appreciate if someone can advise how to clean this glue from the car glass?
-
Glue was there already and I just peel off the sticker and installed. I haven't seen much the glue based suction holder but thought it maybe needed to make it strong, which actually it did. Maybe promate need to use UAE weather proof glue to market such products here.
-
After trying several phone holders with suction grip, I wanted to order the best and bought the Promate Dashboard Mount. It lasted for few months with very strong grip for offroad bumps, but died in summer heat. Any clue how to remove glue from the car glass and clear the windscreen from this nasty mess. Promate Dashboard Mount, Universal Windshield or Dashboard Magnetic Car Mount Holder with 360 Degree Rotation, Flexible Gooseneck, Anti-Slip Grip and Secure Holder for iPhone, Samsung, MagMount-4 Red

You can remove super glue from hands very easily with nail filer. Scrub it gently once it is fully dried and it will flake off or powder in few seconds.

Sorry dude, I find flushing is pretty useless instead inside core cleaning once every two years is much better, safer and long lasting. If its a road only car and no sign of heat gauge moving in traffic, I won't touch the cooling system even if its more than 2 years. UAE summer is a very good litmus test for cooling system than any other advices. Coolants generally have a long life compared to other fluids, if they arent leaking.

I totally agree, I used to be very excited every time I use to sell my car so that the car shopping time starts and for next week or month I simply research, view, test drive and check so many cars. After doing this for 10-15 times, now Im bored and old. So enjoy the excitement and rush until this shopping spree last.
-
Flush is pretty useless 9 out of 10 times if car is moving heat gauge in traffic. Getting it cleaned from inside is much better as once in two year or depending on kms you have done. Which car and year? How many kms driven? When was last radiator changed or cleaned? If service advisor is suggesting without any symptom then it's a waste tbh.

Very sad and tragic

It's called Constant Velocity Joint that turn your wheel from engine power coming through this drive shaft. Rubber boot is holding the grease inside so the CV joint always move with enough lubrication inside.

Everything is always minor from selling point of view from car dealers and auction site. Tables turn when you sell it, guy slashed 20K from my Mustang as one the steering wheel volume button was faded and he said we need to re-upholster the whole car interior. Sold next week at fair price by myself. Please look into private deal if you are not in car buying/selling/fixing business, my humble two cents. You can actually get a super clean cars at a very good bargain price if you are regularly scanning the adverts daily. I bought all my cars from Private deal since 2002. I tried many times the used car dealers and auction sites when I was desperate but I never ended up buying any after wasting lot of time.

Unless you are a sound mechanic or technician who wish to buy this and fix it for own use / resell, I wouldn't be going anyway closer to such junk to waste my time and money. Car buying with clean history and test report throws so many issues after few months, let alone this screaming and shouting car with tons and tons of red flags, concern and suspicion.

Pajero lift kit or heavy duty spring suggestion
Gaurav replied to Gaurav's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
Good question and thinking, but I'm running at max height in front already due to IFS. Any further lift will strain the CV joints and keep breaking them every month, now they are breaking once every year. -
Or maybe it's just a side view
