Let's welcome the new year with Carnity family get together on 31 Dec evening and blast with the best music, food, and drinks to welcome 2018 in great style and happiness. The plan is to find a suitable outdoor spot and separate drive is scheduled on 29 Dec for the same. This spot will be accessible for all cars and 4x4 so that we can get the maximum families turn-out. This place will be set up with light, sound system and bonfire / bbq (in container / fire plate). Enclosed kid's play area (big camp) will be set up in advance so that families can enjoy and kids will also have some entertainment (of course under supervision). We will also have karaoke, so if anyone has flair for guitar or any musical instruments please bring it on so we can have some live music through the night. Yes, I meant for Dakar grade Pajero only, that why would they name such legendary 4x4 as a Pajero.......! Totally agree that after 2001 since till date they are just sharing a name for commercial use that not even remotely connect to what Dakar grade Pajero has in it.

In my opinion, Pajero name is the worst name thought for such legendary 4x4 that won Dakar rally for 13 times unlike any other fancy useless 4x4's that can't even climb half of Faya, Bidayer and Iftar bowl.

For sure Habtoor is better bet if not willing to drive down to Sharjah, as these days habtoor also try to match agents pricing, just make sure you ask for a discount couple of times (at least 30-40%). Join here and we regularly do newbie or absolute newbie drive every alternate weekend.

Congrats on your MK2 Pajero, it's really nice "last well designed" Pajero IMHO. I had 3 liters SWB (6G72) one before as my wife car and got totally impressed with its off-road prowess that I hunted the 3.5 SWB (6G74) and got settled with one since last 7 years. That's a nice hack for 54 aed, but in my car, it's working and I never look at that for any reason while I'm on offroad or on-road as I find it too sensitive and its always jumping up and down. If I have a chance I'll fix the outside temperature gauge in center console, which was working until one electrician did some fingering and I realized it very late to complain. The second thing I like to fix in my center console is the compass or replace the original with something more digital one that can tell me direction in degrees than with needle as while offroading it's too hard to pay close attention to dial or needle.
