  1. Totally agree with @Barry that @Rahimdad writing style is so awesome that it resembles a pro journalist that binds person interest in such a way that they mesmerize the moment as if they have been to that drive. +1 The only part where I felt scared was seeing @skumar83 doing a massive sidey for the first time and he pulled it off very nicely and that too times. We spent almost 8 hours talking on top of mountain, and I still feel its short. It was an amazing place to be in but just wind chill factor was a bit too much to turn 20 degrees feel like 15 degrees, secondly too much wind didn't let us sleep at all. Here are my pictures, looking forward to see pics from other cameras: https://carnity.com/gallery/category/15-tawi-khatimah-sand-and-mountain-21-22-april-2017/
  2. Thanks brandan, all are sending and accepting at 4 Ohms and still problem persists. I'm clueless as to head unit is faulty or front speakers are faulty or there is something in between we are missing........!
  3. It all depends on the car looks and how nasty brand image it has. Like Nissan Patrol making too much doof doof will caught every cop attn, on other side Pajero will get away peacefully. I have removed that resonator 3 years back and apart from free flow and little low rev drone, I didnt feel much difference but noise on highway at 3k RPM was deafening. So stick the resonator back, upgrade the whole pipes from 1.5 - 2.5 inches and got magnaflow (quieter) exhaust in end and now it breathes freely and perform same but with less noise and highway drone. I have got my Pajero passed from 2012-2015 without resonator and no cop ever stopped me or my wife as it was her road car and my desert car.
  4. To cut a long story short I have below setup and music blip for a fraction of a second when cranked to high volume or on high bass music. Appreciate any solution from sound gurus on this current problem to how to resolve this. All wiring has been changed to oxygen free cable from a pro technician and still issue persists. Is this faulty head unit or speaker or some wrong config? Please advise. 5. Very well said and explained @Barry. Thanks for changing my way of thinking, but hope all mechanic and workshop are being honest, educated and patient to find out the actual and report the actual problem and charge reasonable. In similar situation with so long list of fault codes majority of LR workshop in Dubai wouldn't settle for less than 5000 - 6000 dhs easily. And that's what hamper the brand reputation of Land Rover in Dubai.
  6. It can be simple one liner answer or thousand word thesis, feel free to write something if ever you have driven off-road in sand, mountains, wadi etc. What attracts you or pull you to go back again and drive in your favorite off-road terrain? My answer is, it help me getting totally disconnected from real world for few hours and allow my mind to fully detox and recharge by not thinking anything as I'm too busy admiring the nature, meeting people, taking pictures, concentrating on sideys, heat gauge, radio, car unusual noise (if any) and bla bla bla. Similar to those 10 seconds (adrenal rush) feeling of fast and furious movie but it last for few hours - from deflation to inflation. While hitting the road back on 2 wheels my mind goes back to the routine thinking and worries about family, work, friends etc. And this is how I got addicted to the sand god since more than a decade ago. What's yours......?
  7. Well I had both vehicles for long time from 1.5 - 2 years each back to back and here are my opinion. Land Cruiser 100 (2004 model in 2006-2008) Reliability - 10/10 Maintenance cost - 10/10 Al futtaim service - 10/10 Resale value - 10/10 Road comfort - 8/10 Fuel mileage - 8/10 Offroad Performance - 6/10 Nissan Patrol Y61 (2006 model in 2008-2010) Reliability - 8/10 Maintenance cost - 8/10 AWR service - 4/10 Resale value - 8/10 Road comfort - 7/10 Fuel mileage - 6/10 Offroad Performance - 8/10 LC100 was amazing in most aspect except an under-power boat on wheels for long hill climbs in dunes, Patrol in contrast was better but comes below in all other criteria's. Hope it helps
  8. Not a single signup guys in last 7 days......! Is route is so scary.....? or everyone got busy at same time
  9. What an amazing night we had watching the much awaited Fast and Furious 8 at Reel Cinema, Dubai Mall. Almost everyone reached on time unlike drives, so I assumed that everyone was also equally excited. The only thing I didn't like about Reel cinemas unlike Vox that no much posters and branding done for this awesome movie. We found only one good poster in the alley that has no much distance to take focussed pictures, check the blurred memories here: https://carnity.com/gallery/category/14-movie-night-fast-and-furious-8-14-apr-2017/
