    Saleem, what you are referring to scrap parts experience of way too old and/or discontinued model like galant, galloper. Read OP and Rahul don't mention new / old / ancient. For any car brand all dealer parts are obliged to store parts until 10 years after its discontinued, so go to the dealer next time and save the hassle.

    Amaron, Exide and Yuasa are among the best for Japanese cars. You can't go wrong with any of those brands. Varta, Energizer and Duracell are good too, but mostly for European makes and slight expensive than above three options.

    NOT TRUE AT ALL. I'm having one since last 7 years, and never encountered the time when Habtoor doesn't have any parts for Pajero. First it's a Mitsubishi - third most famous brand in UAE. Second it's Pajero - flagship marquee of Mitsubishi. @shadow79 How many Pajero you owned? Or just saying based on some random guy story, who couldn't afford Pajero spare parts and sold the car in covering up with this story of non-availability. I highly agree that Mitsubishi parts are damn expensive, but they also last FOREVER that makes them worth the extra cost.

    Hi, Behzad nice to see you the other day and it's good you join here to make use of car knowledgebase. To start, can you be more specific on your wife SUV requirements like 5/7 seater, school run, long drive, weekend driver, mall cruiser etc. to get you appropriate advise. Although I don't have anything against SantaFe, it's parts and maintenance is equally expensive as Japanese SUV so be open to all Japanese brands too for better resale. One of my friend wife drives the same for work and I know the expensive parts and service story.

    I had an ML500 for almost two years and it was very nice SUV and ownership was a tad expensive than Japanese. Though you are familiar with BMW maintenance cost, so you won't feel much difference in Merc here. Just make sure that you buy the car that has full-service history and you also try to get the basics done by the dealer until it's 5 years of age. After that, there are many Mercedes experts that you can switch to MercedesRus, Silber arrow, Munich motors etc. For check-up before buying you can use the dealer or any of the above to have peace of mind for the long run.

    That's the whole point, and I'm highly skeptical on the delivery of 100% rated power across the usable battery range even. Batteries in the torch, r/c cars, fans etc start with a good bang and slowly deteriorate the performance as it runs out unlike in petrol = go / no-go.

    Seems to be tested pretty aggressively and how Porsche will make this Hybrid faster than Petrol will be an interesting watch.

    Yes, Barry and Desertdude, I have heard all these media scoops but my mind is gauging them based on actual common sense logic. My point is not only to get the full power from word go but during goi iii ing. Can electric car deliver 100% rated hp and torque at 10% of remaining battery...?

    Try H&R, readily available in many shops in Aweer, Rashidiya and Al Quoz mid and top range garages.

    Totally agree with Rahim Bhai, that during the sand storm I was about to stop. Thinking it's not quite practical to drive with low visibility but I waited for one stuck to raise a flag and that didn't happen because everyone drove just too well.

    Thanks, @victor for sharing this nice update. Not sure about others, but I like its design quite much. Nice blend of defender and Hummer. The only thing my mind doesn't accept is its electricry powered and how that will produce off-road grunt.....?

    You are definitely old, people go dune bashing only on weekend for feeding their desert bug unlike daily job made you so bored. Secondly, it's called enthusiasm and not voluntarily going for a charity drive, lol. I think due to safari train track you were really got bored, as they are no way remotely close to any of our real dune bashing drives.
