With lifted springs, bigger tires, offroad lights, looks like it's nicely used/abused (god knows) in the desert. If I am in your place, I would not buy this two main reasons: 1) US Specs 2) Already used in desert. Often YJ are pushed to extreme in the desert, so buying beaten up car with job loss story/fact doesn't sympathize me, as it simply doesn't check my all boxes.

As your current OEM setup is very close to Bilstein 3 Inch so I would suggest to go for 4 Inch shocks for various reason: To have an extra two inch of suspension travel when off-roading in tight uneven places. If with almost same size you are hitting bump stops, then choosing tad higher is better. I know old one must be worn out, but so as new will wear out in few years so to have a bit safety cushion is better for extending usable life. Last but not least if you change your mind to lift 1 more inch in future, you can do that without changing the shocks.

Do you want to lift more than 3" in the future? What is the stock suspension height? (fully extended and collapsed)?

2005 Patrol weighs 2600 kg and deliver 245 hp (94 hp/ton). 1999 Pajero weighs 1800 kg and deliver 225 hp (125 hp/ton). For sand power to weight ratio is KING, but again, these are just numbers for naysayers, because Patrol with 2000 hp climb higher so stock patrols are also made in heaven too.

Rope (eyelet) breaking will not cause much issue, as much as tow point breaking (metal part). Even if eyelet break it will slow down rope snapping due to additional harness by absorbing the shock. You can never protect 100% of the rope as rope usually break from in between than eyelet unless eyelet has been heavily used or torn (then its time to replace the rope, anyways).

Well done @syed salman raza on your first tow-rope recovery and it's really nicely done without any excessive force with just enough power required for the pull. That's a right way of doing it. Keep it up. Idea is to prefer 5 soft tugs than 1 hard tug, unless really required. Nice to see off-roaders spending time in learning (reading and watching) through tons of resources here, as that's why they are stored here to pass the knowledge and make you do right things at first time, than breaking bumpers, rope and vehicles. I just hope that camera person was far away from the rope radius and this capture was with full zoom to be this grainy. We have been securing the tow ropes earlier before the harder tugs, but as per recent incident where tow hook flew with a gentle touch we all have been advise to secure rope for all the tugs. Maybe next time you visit hardware shop get these 1 ton strap with climbing shackle to secure the rope.

Tbh, I wouldn't bother with your garage because if they couldn't spot this now, so they are just parts fixer and not "EXPERTS". This engine cooling is a very serious issue and to get 100% right diagnose you ONLY need experts, then to get what they say you can decide with your mechanic or get three quotes anywhere outside. My intention is to get right diagnose than wasting thousands and thousands on guesswork and keep this story going around for months and months. If you can google or find any other """""GOOD"""" engine cooling experts, get their opinion too.

With 80% needle spike on absolute newbie drive, definitely its not normal. Ideal heat gauge needle stays at 45% and while off-roading with AC touches up to 55-60%. When in peak summer, with AC on it shoots above 60% so I drive without AC at times too, but that's normal for many cars, especially Jeep, Pajero, Pathfinder etc. At first you need a bigger radiator, and my best advise is to go to engine cooling experts Dolphin and explain the spike and ask them to provide solution. They might suggest 3 or 4 core aluminium or cooper radiator, so let them make a suggestion, so you know what really is needed. Keep pushing them for there suggestions, being expert so if it fails or work half, they don't blame you that you asked for this and we gave u this.

@Anish S I'm glad that my driving was of some help and this is exactly how I personally learn driving behind seasoned offroaders to learn to perfect the line (track entry /exit) instead of fighting with gravity, cross tracks and using excessive rpm. @Veedooshee your contribution with your common sense and attentiveness is beyond anyone's imagination, as I never expected that Rajeevan can find his number plate back in the desert, once lost. I was super impressed with your photo searching and connecting the dots skills to help him. Really well done to be so cautious while off-roading, and im sure with time you will become a very good off-roader. Big thanks and well done to @AKR @Rajeevan Vickneswaran @Magellan for not getting stuck in such a tricky area. Last but least, thanks and VERY well done to our new leader @Wrangeld for leading an excellent and super challenging drive at solar park and kept on playing with drive level based on convoy response. It is not an easy task for new leaders to tweak the level and find a perfect balance between enjoyment and not getting stuck or scaring people.

More than my Pajero, I absolutely love recovering as it gives me special satisfaction to help and also transfer bit of offroad knowledge and burn some extra calories for my Friday Gym. I did this center fwd after ages and Richard, made sure that I get good pay back after a long time gap. Btw, my Pajero was indeed running hot after 9 AM, so switched off the AC and enjoyed little baking. It was nice seeing you after a long time and sadly due to COVID we are now almost forgetting to see each other face.

What are you missing? You just need a deflator and tire pressure gauge. I can lend u a spare radio, if you need.
