Like always @desertdude you are missing the big point that video guy trying to make like many of other drivers. IRRESPECTIVE of concave, convex, flat and double layered side view mirror, if the driver doesn't know how to adjust them correctly that SUBSTANCE is a waste of resources. People adjust the side view mirror seeing half of their cars and half road, whereas per that video when you tilt toward each side of side view mirror you are 95% seeing the road and just 5% your car. This change in adjustment literally increase the side view mirror reach and showing you every possible blind. I have fixed this in all my cars and literally never again twisting my neck or shoulder to check the blind spot. This is how flat or concave mirror comes in 2012 Range Rover.

In my opinion, it's better to stick to Oman, RSA and AXA if a premium is just 100-200 dhs difference, as this tad extra premium will pay you many times in case you claim insurance and also when you cancel insurance to get pro-rata refund without any questions or tons of follow up.

There is always two sides of the coin, I believe in a special or at least different cars like German, UK, and European brand one should stick to their level of expertise as those cars are truly made differently instead of using Philp screws, they use star screws at a very base level. You wouldn't want to take that car with Jap or Korean specialist who will hammer the screwdriver in star crew and force open it. Trust me I have seen such car mechanics in UAE. Apart from the base level of screws shape, they do have different engineering and if a mechanic is not well aware then it will blow up your bill. I remember having a Land Rover Discovery bit of death wobble at certain speed. First look with my usual Jap specialist gave me a long bill of diagnosing of checking everything to anything. Then with a bit of Dr. Google help, I realize it's a driveshaft U-joint that freaks out if it's not greased well in time. Bought that for 35 dhs and got it changed with a labor of 50 dhs and car was perfect in 85 dhs than huge bill of diagnosis. It's a rare find, to be honest at least in this part of the world.

What a pleasant surprise to hear from you @baselsm83, almost every second drive I and Rahim bhai discuss about you and also ask Noor whenever he joins. After so many daredevil drives you are not a newbie anymore and you have been awarded "Intermediate" grade as per new off-road structure created by Rahimdad. I seriously request everyone to spend 5 minutes on adjusting "SIDE VIEW MIRROR" as per above video and change back if you don't like it. 90% of you will like it for sure, only 10% might not due to the love of living with old habits.

I have seen this video few years back and adjusted my Mustang mirrors perfectly. Received this forwarder again yesterday and fixed my Range mirrors exactly how he is demonstrating and now no need to check the shoulder by twisting neck or back. It does show car appearing in a perfect manner that much before it escapes from side view mirror, it hits the human eye peripheral view. Posted it here, so I don't lose this for future, 1 min adjustment offers a lot of safety + add comfort.

Good list @Frederic Nuyttens Now I rem one more scam, where next of kin of a deceased partner of a bank want to transfer funds to your account. Oh another classic one for car buyers: Listing car for sale at dirt cheap price with the only email, and when you contact they will lure you to transfer the shipping charges only and pay for the car once it arrives in UAE..... really funny and stupid people DO EXIST. Such car images are always having a background of US / Japan remote location.
